Electra Team releases Chimera 1.0.6 with bug fixes and improvements

It was just over a week ago that the Electra Team released Chimera version 1.0.5 to improve the jailbreak’s stability and tie up loose ends, but the update was later pulled until further notice when several users reported issues after using it.

Sunday evening, the Electra Team announced the release of Chimera version 1.0.6 to the general public via Twitter. The update appears to address the issues introduced in version 1.0.5 in addition to incorporating important bug fixes:

Citing the announcement, Chimera version 1.0.6 brings the following changes:

Chimera 1.0.6

– Improves the jailbreak success rate

– Resolve an issue from Chimera version 1.0.5 that would result in automatic rootfs restores

– Fix the Mail app’s sending bug

– Fix the A12(X) camera bug

The Electra Team also advises that users downgrade RocketBootstrap from version 1.0.7 to version 1.0.6 via the BigBoss repository to resolve potential issues. Alternatively, you could download RocketBootstrap version 1.0.7 beta 5 from the default Chimera repository.

Chimera version 1.0.6 is recommended to all Chimera jailbreak users, and can be downloaded from the official Chimera website. To use it, users need only side-load it onto their handset deploy the tool to update the jailbreak.
