Jailbreak tweaks of the week: ActionBar, Goodges 2, Vocito, and more

If you’re in search of the best and latest ways to customize your jailbroken iOS 11 or iOS 12 device, then you’ve come to the right place.

In this roundup, we’ll summarize each of this week’s new jailbreak tweak releases from Monday, April 8th to Sunday, April 14th. As usual, we’ll kick things off by discussing our favorites and then outline the rest afterward.

Our favorite releases this week

ActionBar – $0.99

ActionBar is a sexy replacement for iOS’ native text-editing interface. It integrates the common undo, redo, select all, copy, cut, and paste buttons into the keyboard so that you don’t have to interact with the antiquated Action Menu-style popup.

The tweak works best on notched handsets such as the iPhone X, XR, XS, and XS Max, but coupled with another tweak, you can make it work on almost any handset.

Goodges 2 – FREE

Personally, I’ve never liked seeing all those red notification badges on my Home screen every morning. It’s both a poor taste in design and useless as to what the missed notifications are actually about.

Goodges 2 aims to solve this problem by integrating your apps’ missed notifications into the icon labels themselves, and more importantly, you can configure each of the labels on a per-app basis to describe what the missed notification is actually for (SMS for Messages, email for Mail, etc.)

Vocito – $1.99

Everyone I know hates that the iPhone’s incoming call interface takes up the whole display, making it impossible to accomplish anything unless you answer or decline the call. The problem is only worsened by people who like to be annoying and call you repeatedly.

CallBar by Limneos has long monopolized the alternative incoming call interface market in the jailbreak community, but Vocito aims to be a lightweight alternative to CallBar, enabling you to interact with phone calls from a tiny banner-style interface.
