Heart Reports, Tick. Done., Big Bang AR, and other apps to check out this weekend

Apps of the week

In this week’s edition of our Apps of the Week roundup we have an app that generates heart reports, a how-to video social network and an AR experience that’s [literally] out of this world. And as always, we’ve selected two great new games for you to check out. Enjoy!

Heart Reports

Heart Reports does exactly what you’d expect it to–gives you access to reports about your heart readings. You can generate PDFs and CSVs with heart rate data, blood pressure data (if it exists in health), step data, detailed graphs and more. If you have an upcoming doctor visit, or if heart health is a major focus of yours, this seems like an app worth checking out.

Tick. Done.

Tick says its mission is to “enable a billion people to do a million new things.” The app serves as a gateway to their universal video platform for hobbies, hacks and smarts. Whether you’re looking for info on how to poach an egg or hang a shelf, chances are you’ll find the how-to video on Tick. Plus, you can create your own how-to videos, to share your skills with the world, and follow your favorite creators.

Big Bang AR

This is kind of cool. The scientists at CERN have put together an incredible augmented reality experience that literally puts the universe in the palm of your hand. Learn about the microscopic building blocks that make up everything, make a star explode, create a supernova and explore the nebula, you can even create a #starselfie. This is one of those AR apps that is really worth checking out.

Sprout: Idle Garden

Sprout allows you to design and build your very own zen garden. You cultivate and collect a variety of flowers as you progress through the game. You can relax and decorate, or optimize for maximum efficiency—the choice is yours! Features include tons of items to unlock and build, upgradable flowers, currency earning system, offline support and more.

College BBALL Coach 2

With March Madness rapidly approaching, this seemed like a good fit for this week’s roundup. College BBALL Coach 2 is the successor to the hit basketball sim game that allows you to recruit and manage your way all the way to the big dance. Features include a deep statistical engine that utilizes over 20+ player ratings, complete game simulation engine, full recruiting simulation and so much more. If you want to take your love for college basketball to the next level, this app is a must-see.
