Third betas of iOS 12.2 and tvOS 12.2 now available to public testers

Apple on Wednesday seeded the third betas of iOS 12.2 and tvOS 12.2 to public testers. Members of Apple’s public beta program can install the updates via each platform’s respective OTA mechanism.

iOS 12.2 actually brings about a number of changes, including Apple News for Canada, HomeKit TV support, a redesigned TV remote, new Animoji characters, and more. Check out our hands-on overview.

As for beta 3-specific changes, we have some tweaks to the Remote app and its corresponding CC widget, a new Apple News logo, and other small alterations. We covered them in our developer beta 3 post yesterday.

Developer and public betas are typically identical, but we’re installing today’s betas and will report back if we find anything of note. As usual, if you see something we missed, tell us about it in the comments!
