Fortnite hit App Store in April 2018 and now this tremendously popularĀ free-to-play battle royale title can be played with any MFi-certified controller.
The game was bumped to version 7.30 on App Store this morning.
Although release notes accompanying the download only mention a pair of under-the-hood improvements, Epic Games on its website has listedĀ a few other enhancementsāand the biggest of them all has to be the long-awaited addition of MFi controller support.

Epic Games recommends the following controllers for Fortnite:
- SteelSeries Nimbus
- SteelSeries Stratus XL
- Gamevice Controller
Phone vibration gets disabled if a gamepad is attached.
Fortnite for Android was also updated with support for Bluetooth controllers (like Steelseries Stratus XL, Gamevice, XBox1, Razer Raiju, and Moto Gamepad) and 60FPS gaming on modern devices such as Samsung’s Galaxy S9 and select Huawei phones.
