Google today has updated its Chrome browser for iOS on App Store with a pair of new features.
Arriving with version number 71.0.3578.77, the mobile browser finally introduces support for copying the selected website image to the system clipboard for easy pasting in other apps.
Before the update, tapping and holding on an image embedded on a webpage would bring up a contextual menu with several shortcuts, but no clipboard option, as shown below.

The update fixes that omission so now when you long-press on a picture embedded on a webpage, you can choose a new Copy Image action which saves the image to the system clipboard so you can paste it in other apps.
The update also fixes authentication issues caused by using out-of-date cookies.

On a related note, Google Photos for iOS was updated earlier this morning as well. Google Photos 4.7 for iOS brings photo book ordering to customers in Austria, Sweden, Bulgaria, Finland, Ireland, Slovakia, Croatia, Denmark, Lithuania, Slovenia, Latvia, Estonia and Malta.
