How to edit the metadata of a photo on iPhone

There may be a time when you want to change the metadata of a photo or two on your iPhone. Maybe you want to spoof the location of the picture, add a location that was never there, or fix one that mysteriously disappeared.

Whatever the reason, here’s how to edit the metadata of a photo on iPhone with the Exif Metadata app.

Download Exif Metadata

The Exif Metadata app is available for free on the App Store for your iPhone. You can download the app and use it on your iPad, just note that it’s optimized for iPhone.

Change or add a location to your photo

After you download and install the Exif Metadata app, pop it open and then follow these steps.

1) Allow the app to access to your photos.

2) Select a photo from the albums displayed. This will open a detailed view on your photo’s metadata, including the location data of your photo at the top.
