BatteryColor brings battery percentage-centric dynamic colorization to the Status Bar indicator

Among the plethora of icons that live in your iPhone’s Status Bar, the battery level indicator just might be one of the most critical. The battery level indicator does its job just fine on a stock installation of iOS, but if you’re jailbroken, then why stop there?

A new free jailbreak tweak dubbed BatteryColor by iOS developer Chasewhip enhances the aesthetic of your iPhone’s battery level indicator by giving it a dynamic color gradient that changes depending on your current battery percentage.

Assume for a moment that you had 100% of your iPhone’s battery remaining; BatteryColor would then fill your battery level indicator with a dark green color.

Throughout the course of using your handset, the battery percentage drops to 75% and later 50%; consequently, BatteryColor reflects this change by turning the battery level indicator yellower as the percentage dips lower, like so:

As you approach 25% and 10% battery percentage, the gradient seamlessly shifts between orange and red, depicting the dire battery circumstances at hand.

BatteryColor doesn’t come with any options to configure, so there isn’t a way to customize the color shift or the color palette. Nevertheless, it’s an aesthetically-pleasing detail that can be used to augment the Status Bar experience on any jailbroken iPhone running iOS 11.

If you’re interested in trying BatteryColor, then you can download it for free from Cydia’s BigBoss repository.
