HomePod arrives in Spain and Mexico, could expand to Italy in the near future

Keeping true to its promise, Apple today launched its HomePod smart speaker in Spain and Mexico. Additionally, we’ve learned that Apple is internally testing Italian support for Siri on HomePod, indicating the accessory could soon arrive in Italy.

In Spain, HomePod costs 349 euros. In Mexico, it’s priced at 7,999 Mexican dollars.

According to Italian-language iSpazio, a release date could be announced at Apple’s “There’s more in the making” event on Tuesday, October 30.

An Italian homepage for HomePod was not ready at post time either, serving as yet another indication that HomePod’s launch in the 61 million people country probably is not imminent.

HomePod is available in Black and White. Two speakers can be connected wirelessly with AirPlay 2 to form a stereo-like pair that improves sound quality. The smart speaker is now available in eight countries: US, UK, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Spain and Mexico.
