Design resources now available for Apple developers for Photoshop and Sketch

Human Interface Guidelines

On Thursday, Apple announced the introduction of new design resources for Apple developers for Mac and Apple Watch. The company’s Human Interface Guidelines now include AppKit UI elements for designing Mac apps like Sketch and Photoshop, plus dozens of new UL elements for watchOS apps. There are also new watch templates for designing complications, a color guide, and new text styles.

The new design elements arrive just weeks after Apple introduced design resources that included elements for the upcoming iOS 12 update.

Apple explains:

It’s never been easier to design apps for Mac and Apple Watch. The Human Interface Guidelines now include a full set of essential AppKit UI elements for designing Mac apps in Sketch or Photoshop, as well as dozens of new UI elements for watchOS apps, watch face templates for designing complications, a color guide, and new text styles.

You can view the entire listing of Apple’s Design Resources by visiting the company’s Human Interface Guidelines website.

Apple’s releasing public versions of iOS 12, macOS Mojave, tvOS 12, and watchOS 5 this fall.
