Apple releases new World Cup-themed videos shot by iPhone users across the globe

Apple on Friday released several new World Cup-themed videos through its official YouTube channel. As part of its continuing “Shot on iPhone” advertising campaign, the latest footage showcases soccer-themed videos captured by iPhone owners from all over the world.

The videos highlight content by users from Australia, Japan and Berlengas Island. Watch the latest “Shot on iPhone” videos that I’ve embedded below, then hit us in comments.

The Heart of Australia

The video’s description reads:

The Heart of Australia. Finding happiness through soccer, Aboriginal Australian girls embrace the sport to create new opportunities for themselves. We get a glimpse inside their cultural heritage and how the community preserves and celebrates its identity.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land, the Ntaria people of the Arrernte nation and their elders past and present.

The ’Wa’ of Soccer

Apple wrote:

The ’Wa’ of Soccer. A soccer match is an embodiment of life’s struggles in 90 minutes. A group of monks play to connect with the local community, keep fit and respect the ’wa’—the peaceful unity and conformity within a social group.

Berlengas Island Cup 2018

Apple’s video description reads as follows:

Berlengas Island Cup 2018. Rival teams refuse to play on the other’s pitch. They agree to play on neutral territory, the Berlengas islands off the Atlantic coast of Portugal, seven miles from the mainland. The Berlengas Island Cup 2018 hosts Baleal vs. Peniche. It’s a historic match to decide who is champion of the sea and soccer pitch.

Apple ahead of the 2018 World Cup put out three soccer-themed videos centered around the various shooting and photography modes that are available on iPhones.

Plus, there’s some soccer-themed content in Apple’s own apps, like Clips, News and TV.

How do you like these videos?

And is this raw, untouched footage, do you think?
