Jailbreak tweaks of the week: PersonalAssistant, & more…

Tweaks of the week

Every week, we do a recap on all of the jailbreak tweaks we show you. This Sunday will be no different.

Although Cydia isn’t exactly kicking with new releases like it does after a fresh new jailbreak, the community is continuing to show its fortitude as new releases hit the Cydia store for current jailbreakers.

First, we will kick off by showing you our favorite releases this week, and then we’ll show you the rest of them.

Our favorite release this week

PersonalAssistant – $4.99

PersonalAssistant is, in my opinion, one of the best new jailbreak tweak releases of 2016.

In the face of what looks to be a huge lull for the jailbreak community, iOS developer TweakWiz surprised us all with this massive 7-in-1 jailbreak tweak, which puts so much information at your fingertips from anywhere in iOS, that we can’t recommend it enough.

This is essentially like the modern-day IntelliscreenX, but you will find that it differs in many ways and does a lot of different things, as well as offers a lot of configuration options.

Other releases this week

CallRecorder: Lets you record your phone calls and save them as MP3 files (free)

LetterPress9: Enables the notepad-styling in the Notes app on unsupported devices (free)

Message Groups: Lets you group your Messages app conversations ($1.49 – review)

RapidfireTap: Set up an auto-tapper to win your tapping games ($0.99)

RunningMan: Displays a running man and play “My Boo” via Activator (free)

WhereIsMyCar: Saves your car’s parking location to make finding it easier ($1.99)

Despite not having a jailbreak for iOS 9.3 or later, the jailbreak for iOS 9.0-9.1 is still pretty fun and useful in terms of what jailbreak tweaks are available at this point in time, and what continues to come out each day.

Nevertheless, a new jailbreak does sound pretty good right now; for those who agree, my colleague Cody recently made a very informative post about what we know so far about the possibility of a jailbreak for iOS 9.3.

If you’re itching to see more tweaks, don’t forget to read our last recap in case you’ve missed anything. Otherwise, stay tuned to iDB as we continue our future tweak coverage!
