Safari Technology Preview, a special version of Apple’s desktop browser designed to give developers their first look at upcoming new features and future enhancements, today received the first official update since its release two weeks ago.
The new build packs in a host of fixes and improvements for Safari’s layout and rendering engine, CSS, JavaScript, Web APIs, Accessibility, Web Inspector and other facets of the app.
The full release notes for Safari Technology Preview Update 2 can be found on Apple’s website. If you installed the previous version of Safari Technology Preview on your system, today’s update should show up in the Updates section of the Mac App Store.
As mentioned, Safari Technology Preview gives developers an early look at upcoming web technologies that will trickle down to OS X and iOS, stuff like layout improvements, visual effects, support for emerging HTML features and more.
