Apple has started airing a new iPad commercial this evening entitled "Do It All." As the name suggests, the ad gives examples of some of the many things you can do with the tablet.
The spot covers everything from sending an email to creating a presentation. And the commercial ends with the tagline "Do it all more beautifully, with the Retina display on iPad..."
We had a hunch that Microsoft's media event today would have something to do with a tablet, and it looks like we were right. The Windows-makers have just unveiled a new slate called the Microsoft Surface.
Described as a "tablet that's a great PC, and a PC that's a great tablet," the Surface looks to be much more than an iPad competitor. It has a 10.6-inch display, magnesium casing, and weighs in at just 1.5 pounds...
The iOS 6 portion of Apple's WWDC keynote last week was headlined by its all new mapping software. As predicted, the company unveiled a completely rebuilt Maps application with 3D city views and other features.
The app is available in the recently-released iOS 6 beta, and so far, it has yet to impress. On top of missing popular features like Street View and transit directions, it also appears to be missing a ton of street data.

As Scott Forstall rattled off a list of Siri's new capabilities in iOS 6, there was one particular feature that really stood out: Eyes Free. Apple will be teaming up with auto-makers to take its digital assistant act on the road.

AppCent is a new jailbreak tweak that adds a percentage value beneath the app currently being installed on your iOS device. It's a very simple tweak, and for smaller sized apps you probably won't derive much value, but it's nice to have for larger apps that take a long time to download.

In another hint that Hon Hai Precision Industry, also known in the Western world as Foxconn, could be gearing up for mass production of a rumored Apple television set, Reuters now reports that Foxconn is in talks with the Japanese multinational corporation Sharp about increasing its stake.
This is interesting development as Foxconn in March bought an eleven percent stake in Sharp worth $844 million. The two companies now run Sharp’s cutting-edge display plant in Sakai, Osaka, leading some to speculate that Foxconn made the move on behalf of its biggest customer, Apple of California, which has long been rumored to be readying production of a full-blown television set, which Foxconn publicly denied...
