Samsung Caught Copying Apple.. Again!

Dear Samsung, If you're going to claim in court that Apple is copying your devices, then maybe you should think twice before creating a product that looks extremely similar to something Apple already made before, such as a phone charger.

Samsung, as you can see in the picture above, the USB AC charger you provide with the Galaxy S II closely resembles Apple's. As a matter of fact, if it wasn't for your logo and the different color, we could think they're both the same...

Otterbox Responds to iPhone 4S Case Leak, Denies Knowing Anything

A couple of days ago we showed you leaked iPhone 4S cases from popular case maker Otterbox. The cases and packaging were leaked by Chronic (original founder of the Chronic Dev Team).

Otterbox has officially responded to the controversy surround this alleged leak, and the company has promised to support the iPhone 4S and iPhone 5, should Apple choose to announce both devices next month...

Tiger Woods 2012 for iOS Free for the Entire Weekend

There's an old saying that goes, "when one door closes, another one opens." That metaphor seems to really fit today for those of you looking for a good deal on an iOS app. Just as Snapseed's super-sale comes to an end, another one begins.

In honor of the PGA Tour Championship this weekend, EA Sports has made its iOS version of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2012 completely free. The game typically runs $4.99 for the iPhone app, and $6.99 for the iPad edition. But wait, there's more...

Google+ for iOS Updated with Hangouts and Other Improvements

Well, that didn't take long. Just three days after we reported that the Google+ app was going to be getting an update, the new software dropped. And just as we expected, the update brings Hangout support as well as a host of other enhancements.

Now that the social networking service is open to the public, and has a well-rounded mobile application, it'll be interesting to see how it stacks up against the competition. Hit the jump for a full rundown of all of the app's new features and improvements...

Google Looking to Take On Wireless Carriers?

Although Google originally started off as just a search engine, it hasn't been afraid to try its hand in other markets. We've seen the Mountain View company produce desktop and cell phone software, and seemingly everything in between.

Well it appears like software wasn't enough to satisfy the mighty search giant, as now the company is looking into the cell phone carrier market. BGR passes on a report from cellular-news that claims Google is testing an MVNO service in Spain...

Samsung Uses Apple Apps Icons to Decorate New Company Store

The legal battles between Apple and Samsung have gone ugly, and it seems this is just the beginning. But if Samsung wants to make a strong case for itself in court, the company had better get its act together.

The above picture was taken in a new Samsung company store in Centro Sicilia, Italy. As you can see, the new store decors include icons of Apple's own Safari and App Store apps...

Android and iOS are Still Dominating the Mobile OS Market

The debate between Apple's iOS and Android can get heated pretty quickly. I (in some cases) would rank someone's mobile OS preference right up there with their political views. It can get that serious.

But whether you prefer Google's open platform, or Apple's more fenced-off approach, you have to agree with one thing: Both OSes are killing it. The proof is in the numbers, as 9to5Mac points out in Millennial Media's Mobile Mix report...

iTattoo Cases Make Your iPhone’s Apple Logo Stand Out

We've seen some pretty odd iPhone cases over the years here at iDB. There was the lego case, and the one shaped like a hand. There was even one that allowed you to store your um, smoking equipment.

But we've also seen our fair share of cool cases as well, and this next one certainly falls in that category. Cult of Mac points to an interesting line of see-through snap-on iPhone cases called the iTattoo...

Ask Jeff: Episode 07 – A Life Without Jailbreaking Just Isn’t Living

As many of you know, I've been an avid jailbreaker of my iPhone ever since it was announced that jailbreaking was officially legal.

True, I never really thought the whole "illegal" aspect had a leg to stand on in the first place, but I do my best to play within the rules.

Now that jailbreaking has become a part of my life, a viewer inquires about the possibility of it going away as time moves forward. I consider this prospect, and many other questions in Episode 07 of Ask Jeff...

Apple Working With Quad-Core Processors for Next-Generation iDevices?

Even with all of the confusion surrounding Apple's iPhone announcement this year, there are two things we know for certain. The device is going to include a faster processor (presumably the A5 found in the iPad 2), and a better camera.

While we don't know much about the camera just yet, we do have a pretty good idea of what the A5 is capable of. It wouldn't surprise me to see Apple tout the next iPhone as the fastest in the industry. And they're already working on making it faster....

AT&T CEO: iPhone Competition Among Carriers is “Overblown”

AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson recently responded to the rumor that Sprint would be getting the iPhone next month. During the Goldman Sachs Communacopia conference, Stephenson described the effect of carriers adding the iPhone as being "always overblown" by the media.

AT&T feels that the iPhone's availability on more carriers does nothing, and will continue to do nothing, to the company's relevancy among its competition. Stephenson said that, "I’m very confident that we’ll do very well with” the new iPhone...

Amazon to Unveil New Tablet Next Week

Last month we reported that Amazon was well on its way to enter the tablet market with its own device. Different from the Kindle, this tablet will most likely be more than an eReader.

Amazon has started sending out invites for a press conference to tech journalists. The event will be held on Wednesday, September 28th in New York...
