T-Mobile Disses the iPad 2 by Calling the G-Slate Faster

T-Mobile USA has declared an all-out war on the iPad 2, claiming that the "G-Slate" tablet is both faster and cheaper.

In a new tablet comparison page on the company's website, T-Mobile pits the hugely popular iPad 2 against the Android-powered Motorola Xoom, listing specifications and costs for both tablets. Unsurprisingly, the only tablet of the three that T-Mobile has on its network comes out on top, with the G-Slate receiving the most praise...

Smartphones are already growing to be more and more popular by the year, with marquee devices like Apple's iPhone and Samsung's Galaxy S proving popular with buyers across the globe.

With smartphone sales between the 298 million and 321 million marks, depending on who you listen to, it's fair to say that the industry is on the up already. But, according to new research, it is believed that smartphones could hit the magic 1 billion sales mark as soon as 2016.

iOS 5 Beta 4 Brings Documents to the iCloud

Apple has released iOS 5 Beta 4, and people are starting to find interesting additions and changes made in Apple's latest beta build.

Apparently, Apple has finally turned on document syncing with iCloud, so apps can now start syncing iWork documents between all of your iDevices. This jailbreak is not recommended for non-developers, and RedSn0w will need to be used each time you reboot to re-jailbreak your iDevice.

Apple Planning Big Things for the iPhone in China

The iPhone's presence in China is about to get supercharged, thanks to an alleged agreement between the nation's largest carrier, China Mobile, and the folks at Cupertino. The Wall Street Journal reports that Apple and China Mobile are "getting closer" to an iPhone deal for the carrier's 600+ million wireless customers.

Once China Mobile joins China Telecom and China Unicom as the third carrier to offer the iPhone in the world's most populated nation, we're sure Apple will start bringing in international profit but the truckloads...

iOS 5 Beta 4 Blocks Jailbreakers From OTA Updates

In case you missed the news, Apple seeded iOS 5 beta 4 to developers yesterday. The new software brings loads of bug fixes and minor updates, and it also introduced a major new feature. Today's beta was the first firmware update that Apple's pushed to devs over-the-air.
