White iPhone 4 Running Mystery Version of iOS Spotted in the Wild

Here's some double news for you. Vietnamese site Tinhte, who has a pretty good track record of verified Apple leaks, is back at it. This time, they are demoing on video what they claim to be a test version of the white iPhone 4 running a mystery iOS.

While it's hard to tell whether this iOS version is legit or not, I can't imagine it being a jailbreak tweak. I think if it was, we would have figured it out by now...

Jailbreak iPhone 4.3.2 with Sn0wBreeze 2.6

Just hours after the Dev Team updated RedSn0w, young iPhone hacker iH8Sn0w updated his own jailbreak tool, Sn0wBreeze, to version 2.6. This new version of Sn0wBreeze uses i0n1c's untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.2.

For those of you that are not aware, Sn0wBreeze is a tool very similar to PwnageTool. Sn0wBreeze, a Windows-only jailbreak, allows you to update to the latest iOS while preserving your baseband, which is necessary if you want to unlock your iPhone.

Sn0wBreeze 2.6 will work for any device that supports iOS 4.3.2, except for the iPad 2...

Dev Team Fixes RedSn0w Untethered 4.3.2 Jailbreak for iPhone 4

Yesterday, the Dev Team released their RedSn0w untethered jailbreak tool for iOS 4.3.2. While the jailbreak was working fine with most devices, there seemed to be issues with the iPhone 4, which would randomly get stuck on reboot.

With the help of i0n1c, the Dev Team fixed RedSn0w and updated it to version 0.9.6rc14. If you already ran 0.9.6rc13, you can simply download RedSn0w 0.9.6rc14 and run it over the previous one...

Apple Tweaks App Store Ranking System for Better Accuracy

Apple has allegedly changed the App Store's ranking algorithm to factor in more information than just download numbers. In the past, App Store chart rankings have been based off pure downloads alone. If an app sold a lot of copies, it automatically shot to the top of its respected chart.

User engagement seems to be the reason behind Apple's algorithm tweak. Instead of only download numbers, the App Store now seems to be recognizing an app's true popularity...

Angry Birds Seasons Easter Edition Now Available

Rovio has released a new Easter-themed update to Angry Bird Seasons for iOS. Unlike the original Angry Birds game, Angry Birds Seasons is another stand-alone app that updates with different themes and levels.

"Angry Birds Seasons: Easter" is the newest seasonal release from Rovio for the approaching Easter holiday. Although gameplay remains the same, there are some perks to grabbing the latest update...

Apple Sues Samsung Over iDevice Copycatting

The smartphone industry is filled with ongoing patent suits. From Nokia and Apple to Microsoft and Motorola, it seems like all the major players in the mobile phone industry are currently in litigation.

Typically the lawsuits seem to be a stretch from patent infringement, but I think Apple's got a real case here. Have you ever noticed that the Samsung's Galaxy line of products look an awful lot like iDevices? Apple thinks so. So much apparently that they filed a trademark infringement suit against Samsung last Friday with a U.S. District Court in North California...

How to Jailbreak iPhone 4.3.2 with RedSn0w

Just about 4 days after Apple released iOS 4.3.2 for iPhone, an updated version of the untethered jailbreak has been released earlier today by iPhone hacker i0n1c. This untethered jailbreak was used by the Dev Team who also updated their jailbreak tool RedSn0w.

In this post, we will show you how to use RedSn0w to jailbreak your iPhone on iOS 4.3.2. This jailbreak will work with any device on iOS 4.3.2, except for the iPad 2...

RedSn0w Updated to Support 4.3.2 Untethered Jailbreak

Only moments ago we told you that i0n1c released his untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.2. The download that i0n1c posted consisted of the jailbreak code, instead of an actual tool for end users.

Right after i0n1c's release, the Dev Team has updated the RedSn0w jailbreak tool with iOS 4.3.2 support. RedSn0w will successfully jailbreak iOS 4.3.2 and is available on both Mac OS X and Windows.

i0n1c Releases iOS 4.3.2 Untethered Jailbreak [Not Really Usable As Is]

While most of you haven't yet upgraded to iOS 4.3.2, there are a few folks out there that did by either accident or design. The minor update only contained fixes for FaceTime and Verizon iPad 2 connection problems.

However, for those that have updated, there are certainly signs that a jailbreak for the new firmware is close. We told you a few days ago that iDevice hacker i0n1c had confirmed via Twitter that the new iOS is vulnerable to his untether used in the 4.3.1 jailbreak. Now he has released the untether for 4.3.2 for anyone interested...

Apple Releases iTunes 10.2.2 [Jailbreak and Unlock Safe]

Minutes ago, Apple released iTunes 10.2.2 which doesn't bring anything new but a few bug fixes. I personally never encountered any of the issues mentioned in the changelog, but you might not be as lucky as I was.

I tried iTunes 10.2.2 with my jailbroken iPhones and was able to sync without any issue, so it appears to be jailbreak-safe...

White iPhone 4 Shows Up On UK Carrier Website, April 20th Delivery

After 10 months of production issues and excuses, it appears that the white iPhone 4 may finally materialize. Engadget and several other media outlets have reported that wireless carrier Three UK has posted the white iPhone 4 on their website.

It wasn't just a place-holder either, a 'buy now' option with an earliest delivery date of April 20th was available. Although the white iPhone has made website appearances before, there hasn't been an option to order it...

iPhone 5 to Sport A5 Processor and 8 MP Camera?

It might seem like the rumor mill is working over time on Apple's next smartphone, but it's really nothing new. Up and coming Apple products typically garner a lot of attention.

There is a ton of speculation about the next iPhone flying around the internet, but none of it has been confirmed. Without an official announcement from Apple, all the tech junkies and investors have to go on are the rumors...
