An analyst is predicting that Apple will sell 4.47 million iPhones this quarter alone — that compares to just 1.12 million first-generation iPhones that sold over the same period last time around. On top of that, Best Buy will soon sell iPhones in their retail stores. And there are still some lines at iPhone stores around the country (when was the last time you saw such extended demand for a new product outside of the holiday season?).
