Twelve South launches Forté stand for Apple Watch

Apple-exclusive accessory maker Twelve South released its HiRise charging stand for the Apple Watch back in the summer.

As I noted in my review, the only thing holding it and other Apple Watch stands back is a somewhat complicated setup requiring you to assemble the pieces yourself, including using the inductive charging disc that came with your watch.

Now Twelve South has created the Forté as a brand new Apple Watch stand that supports both portrait and Nightstand modes while allowing you to simultaneously rest your iPhone on the base of the accessory.

Nomad Stand for Apple Watch review

In my apparently endless search for the perfect Apple Watch dock, I have come across the Nomad Stand. Its simple design is what caught my eye at first, but after using it for a few days, I can say there is more to it than meet the eyes.

Most of the stands for Apple Watch I've seen so far seem to take the wrong approach. They appear to try too hard to design something that in many cases doesn't compliment the design of the Apple Watch itself, but actually works against it.

Nomad Stand succeeds where many others have failed.

Spigen Apple Watch Stand: an elegant and affordable charging solution

Spigen has been on the forefront of Apple Watch accessories since the device was first available a little over a month ago. The company rapidly came up with a line of cases for Apple Watch, and they also made a stand that represents an affordable yet elegant solution for your desk or night stand.

In a brief review of the Spigen Apple Watch Stand, I'll share with you what I like and don't like about this simple accessory.

The SyncStand is a sleek and stylish charging dock for your iPhone 6

Whether charging your iPhone 6, syncing it with iTunes, or simply gazing longingly into its front-facing camera, you may be in the market for a stand to display your device with. The Sinjimoru Aluminum SyncStand is a sturdy holder for your iPhone 6 that has a sleek design to compliment your Apple product. You don’t have to worry about whether this stand is MFi compatible since you use your own cable for syncing and charging.

Griffin’s WatchStand now available for order, ships in two weeks

Griffin Technology's curious WatchStand, which holds both an Apple Watch and your iPhone, is now available to order from the company's webstore for $29.99 a pop, or with a 10 percent discount via iDownloadBlog Deals. The Nashville, Tennessee headquartered accessory maker will start shipping first WatchStand units to customers in two weeks.

The sleek accessory docks your Apple Watch and iPhone while charging them at the same time, with the Watch cradle conveniently keeping your device at a viewable angle.

Kenu Stance: a compact tripod for iPhone

From the makers of the Airframe, which I also considered the 'perfect' travel companion for car mounts, comes the Stance. Like the Airframe, Kenu designed their newest gadget to be amazingly simple and solve a problem most iPhone users would love to solve.

Many times, I'm out and about, or even at home, and wish I could quickly find something to hold my iPhone in place. Whether FaceTime, Periscope, Netflix, or reading a recipe, Stance is there to help. I own a lot of docks and stands, at least in the double digits, but none of them are as small and versatile as Stance and I'm thankful Kenu sent one for review.

Twelve South launches portable MacBook stand that folds up like iPad Smart Cover

Hot on the heels of unveiling its HiRise charging stand for the Apple Watch, premium accessory maker Twelve South on Wednesday announced another interesting accessory. This one attaches to the bottom of any MacBook and folds up to an instant stand akin to Apple's Smart Cover for iPad.

The BaseLift typing stand, as they're calling it, is a remarkable 3.7 millimeter thin, has a microfiber-layered pad and stays attached to the bottom of your MacBook all the time, so you’ll never forget it.

Nomad unveils beautiful stand and charging station accessories for Apple Watch

Accessory maker Nomad has created a “methodically designed, expertly crafted” stand for your Apple Watch that is just as pretty and functional as Apple's wrist-worn gizmo. Dubbed the Stand, it suspends your Watch mid-air while providing MagSafe access to its Zirconia backing.

Another accessory called the Pod will be available as well, basically a mobile charging solution for your device with a built-in rechargeable 1,800mAh lithium polymer battery that quadruples your Apple Watch battery life.

Twelve South’s HoverBar 3 expands compatibility to work with any iPad

Way back in September of 2012, I wrote a fairly lengthy review of the HoverBar by Twelve South. The device is a mounting mechanism for iPad. It is not a new contender to the mountable space, certainly not two years later, but it is a well designed product. Twelve South, a South Carolina based company, limits their product development to a low number each year, ensuring proper care is spent on each device they launch.

The HoverBar 3 is an intentional upgrade on the previous generation. The 22" arm extends from a bi-directional assembly that screws into a metal clamp. Overall, the design and assembly is almost exactly the same. Where the new generation differs is the compatibility for iPad 2nd - 4th generation, iPad Air, and both versions of iPad mini.

Kick your laptop up a notch with Kickflip

There are times when typing at a flat angle is uncomfortable. It is most noticeable when using my MacBook Air 13". All of the keyboards I use, including Apple's standard wireless keyboard, are angled for ease-of-use. Contrary to standard keyboards, Apples laptop line sits flat on the resting surface.

Asking to "kick it up a notch," Bluelounge released the Kickflip just a few weeks ago. Hoping to increase productivity and ease everyone's wrists, the Kickflip does just as the name suggests: props your laptop with just a flip.
