Readdle holds a massive App Store sale in celebration of its 8th birthday

Ukrainian developer Readdle is behind some of the best productivity applications for the iPhone and iPad. It's hard to imagine that eight years have passed since Readdle released its first app in the App Store, but it has. To celebrate its eighth anniversary, the company has launched a massive App Store sale, cutting the price of some of its popular apps in half.

The promotion runs for 48 hours so now is your chance to add your favorite Readdle apps to your collection, if you don't have them already. Here's a quick list of apps that are available half price until Thursday, August 6 at 9am Eastern time.

Readdle’s excellent Spark email client gains bulk actions, setting for remote images and more

Readdle's Spark, my new favorite go-to mobile email client, received a big update in the App Store today. Although you couldn't tell it from a minor version number change (1.0.1), the new version does make the app much better while fixing a plethora of user-reported issues.

For starters, you can now delete and archive emails in bulk, a tremendous productivity boost. Next, Spark now consumes less energy, which is always a good thing.

You can now empty your Trash with a single tap, as opposed to selecting multiple messages before hitting the Delete button, like before.

Security advocates will definitely appreciate a new setting to disable loading of remote images, which protects you from spammers while keeping data usage under control.

On the downside, today's update has removed a pair of useful features due to mixed reviews, though Readdle assures us it may bring them back “someday.”

Readdle launches Scanner Pro 6 with automatic scanning, Scan Radar feature and more

Ukrainian developer Readdle has a number of fine productivity apps in the App Store, among them a scanning app called Scanner Pro.

Today, Readdle released Scanner Pro 6, the next major version which adds interesting new features like automatic scanning, the ability to find documents for scanning in Photos, cool Automatic Scanning mode and more.

This update is free to existing users and they're celebrating the launch by discounting Scanner Pro for new users to just $2.99, more than half off its regular asking price.

Readdle launches Spark, gorgeous iPhone and Apple Watch email app to tame your inbox

Ukrainian developer Readdle, the maker of some of the finest productivity apps for the iPhone and iPad, today launched its most ambitious project yet, a personalized email client for the iPhone and Apple Watch conceived to help you deal with your inbox faster.

The app is called Spark, it looks neat and offers a number of compelling features, like quick replies, powerful search, fast signatures, smart notifications, attachments, cloud services support, email-to-PDF conversion, a WatchKit extension to check important messages on the wrist with an Apple Watch app and a glance, and much more.

Readdle’s Printer Pro goes zero bucks, courtesy of Apple’s Free App of the Week promo

Since its December 2011 debut, wireless printing software Printer Pro has never gone free, excluding a limited one-day promo last April.

That changes today as Apple's editors have now marked the iPhone and iPad application down to $0 (regularly $6.99), listing the app its Free App of the Week in the App Store's ongoing weekly promotion.

Created by Ukrainian developer Readdle, Printer Pro has been downloaded two million times. It's a great app that lets you print attachments, documents, web pages and more right from your iPhone or iPad to any printer.

It automatically finds and connects to a printer on your Wi-Fi network. You can even connect to a USB printer if you install a free helper desktop app on your Mac or PC.

Readdle launches PDF Office, a new productivity suite with subscription model

Ukrainian developer Readdle today added a new flagship application to its stable of productivity software for the iPad, PDF Office. The all-in-one mobile solution is suited for demanding users who need to produce PDF files on the go, from scratch, or edit existing documents using a bunch of powerful editing and annotation tools.

With PDF Office, you can create new PDFs, jot down notes, scan documents using your iPad's camera, create and fill out forms, convert any file, picture or even a website into a PDF document, annotate and sign PDFs, collaborate on documents and more — all in the name of going completely paperless.

Based on a subscription model, PDF Office is available free of charge with subscriptions starting at $5 per month (annual subscription will cost you $40).

Readdle’s Black Friday promo slashes up to 50% off popular productivity apps

Readdle, the Ukrainian developer behind some of the best iOS productivity apps such as Calendars, PDF Expert and Scanner Pro, doesn't do sales often.

But when they do, there must be a very good reason and I can't think of a better reason than Black Friday.

Starting on Thursday, November 27 and lasting 48 hours only, Readdle's premium productivity applications are available discounted by up to 50 percent. In addition to discounts on Calendars 5, Scanner Pro, PDF Expert 5, Printer Pro and PDF Converter, their Ultimate Productivity Bundle has been marked down, too.

Updated for iPhone 6: Pocket, PDF Expert 5, Calendars 5, Scanner Pro and Printer Pro

Readdle's stable of iOS productivity apps — PDF Expert 5, Calendars 5, Printer Pro and Scanner Pro — along with Pocket's read-it-later iOS app — have received their respective updates Wednesday enabling native support for the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus display sizes.

PDF Expert's support for the new iPhone screen sizes arrives ten days after its developer, Ukraine-based Readdle, issued an update turning on iCloud Drive storage support and Touch ID fingerprint-based authentication.

In addition to an optimized layout for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus, Pocket 5.6.1 includes performance improvements and a fix for the Instant Sync push feature on iOS 8 devices. More than twelve million people use Pocket to easily save articles, videos and other piece of content for consumption later.

The app also has an awesome iOS 8 Extension so you can send content to Pocket in any iPhone and iPad application which uses Apple's multi-purpose Share sheet, including Safari.

Readdle updates entire line of apps for iOS 8

If you have already downloaded Apple’s latest update to its mobile operating system, you’ll be happy to know that Readdle has been working hard to add extensions, widgets, iCloud Drive compatibility, and much more to its apps.

Scanner Pro, PDF Expert 5, Documents 5, Calendars 5, Printer Pro, and PDF Converter have all been updated with new features that compliment the productivity additions in iOS 8. Check out what each app can do for you now.

Calendars 5 and other Readdle apps on sale for a limited time

Readdle, the team behind several hit iOS apps, is celebrating its 7th anniversary. It's been 7 years since the company formed, and set out on its mission to create some of the best productivity software for iOS devices available.

And how does a successful app developer celebrate an anniversary? By discounting some of its top titles of course. For a limited time, enjoy up to 70% off Calendars 5, Scanner Pro, Printer Pro and other premium Readdle apps...

Readdle updates Documents with background music, e-book reader, iPhone add-ons and more

Back in February, Ukrainian developer Readdle gave its Documents for iOS app a thorough makeover, adding features like a much polished iPad interface with iOS 7-friendly styling, in-app integration with other Readdle apps, a brand new file manager and much more.

Available today, the free Readdle Documents 5.1 download expands on the app's features set with further improvements.

If you import audio files into Documents, the app now lets you play music in the background so you can, say, read a PDF document as the music plays. Speaking of PDFs, the new Documents at last includes a full-featured e-book reader...

Readdle’s Scanner Pro now half price to celebrate 6M downloads, iOS 8 app in the works

Scanner Pro, one of the best apps for quickly scanning and saving a digital version of a paper document, has passed six million downloads since its App Store debut in December of 2009.

It's a noteworthy milestone in my book given the software costs seven bucks and has thus far gone temporarily free only once, as Apple's Free App of the Week in January.

To celebrate the milestone, Ukrainian developer Readdle has temporarily shaved 50 percent off Scanner Pro's asking price, now available for a limited time for just $2.99...
