Electronic Arts' Ferrari-focused Real Racing 3 update is out for a little more than a month and earlier this week the super publisher pushed another update which will make Ferrari fans happy and glued to their iPhones and iPads.

Building on the new racing tracks, events and Ferrari's racing cars from the previous update, the Enzo Ferrari lineup has now joined Real Racing 3's selection of extreme performance cars.

The latest update also adds other perks and goodies, including cinematic race replays (finally!), four new event series with a total of 100+ new events, weekly time trial tournaments and more. Your promo clip and other highlights are after the break...

Drift Mania Street Outlaws review: drift in style through city streets

The iPad is fast becoming a blooming garden of racing games. The Asphalt series is a huge hit. EA’s line of Real Racing games has pushed graphics to the limit. Need for Speed Most Wanted has won awards for its fast-paced gameplay mixed with console quality graphics.

Drift Mania: Street Outlaws is a racing game with fairly decent graphics, action packed racing, and an underground drift culture theme…

Gentlemen, start your engines: NASCAR Redline races its way into the App Store

I've never been a big fan of NASCAR but I do remember spending a big chunk of my pocket money on the arcade game Daytona USA. I specifically recall races starting with the iconic "gentlemen, start your engines" announcement.

Fastforward to today, and I'm still not a big NASCAR fan, but I can certainly appreciate some of the strategies that go into the races. The right set of brakes, tires, or suspension can actually make or break a race.

NASCAR: Redline is the first officially licensed NASCAR game to make its way in the App Store. Although you won't be in the driver seat, your role will be to ensure that every decision made is the right one in order to take your team to the victory...

By the way, the car maker is celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of the legendary 911. The Porsche update is being teased less than three weeks after the most recent content pack enabled a bunch of classic American muscle cars (the Mercedes-Benz and Bentley vehicles came via July's update)...

Gameloft unleashes Asphalt 8

Is it the speed? The acceleration and pure velocity? Nah, it's got to be going Airborne, says the clever blurb for Gameloft's highly-anticipated eighth installment in the Asphalt mobile racing franchise. We previewed the game back in June and although it got delayed a bit as the team needed more time to perfect the little things, it's out now and available now for your iPhone, iPod touch and iPad for just 99 cents a pop. I've included action-packed screenies, additional info and a launch trailer so jump past the fold for more awesomeness...

New Real Racing 3 update brings classic American muscle cars

One of the key reasons I used to burn midnight oil quite a lot playing Driver on the original PlayStation - apart from the locations (Miami, San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York) and the awesome controls coupled to realistic physics - is the vehicle lineup, the sort of cars you see smashed in the 1960-1970s car chase and cop movies.

To fans of such legendary cars as the Dodge, Shelby and other big V8 muscle cars: Electronic Arts's latest content update to free-to-play Real Racing 3 is a no-brainer.

That's right, you can now own classic Detroit metal in this Real Racing 3 update, as well as race friends on a bunch of new tracks, appreciate physics enhancements, better camera angles and lots more...

Games developer Lucid Games hinted at the upcoming 2K Drive back in May. Today, publisher 2K Games has officially announced 2K Drive, the upcoming premium (forget about the premium nonsense, you'll pay for it upfront) iOS driving simulation. A crossover between an arcade game and a racing sim, it sports a RaceFace feature where you model your own face onto in-game characters.

Expect real locations and dozens of exciting challenges in an authentic world rooted in motoring culture, all spiced up with the usual assortment of the officially licensed cars such as Dodge, Ford and Nissan from European, Japanese and American manufacturers and much more. Visuals are top-notch, per screenshots and the videos found after the break...

Avid iOS gamers may have noticed a promising pattern as a growing number of premium classics make their way into the App Store. Starting with XCOM: Enemy Unknown just a week ago and the upcoming iOS port of the award-winning Limbo game, we now also have the 1999 PlayStation racing classic Colin McRae Rally 2.0 (the second game in the series), which has been remastered for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad devices as simply Colin McRae Rally...
