Wallpapers of the week: OnePlus 2 pack for iPhone

Our Wallpapers of the Week category provides photo quality images for your iOS devices every Sunday. Today, we highlight two categories that are frequently very popular. Minimalistic and geometric designs are always on the top of our charts and the following set fits the bill.

Apple has become stingy with their wallpaper catalogue as we entered iOS 9. Consequently, what’s wrong with stealing some great wallpapers from a competing device? The collection below is a sampling of the OnePlus 2 stock wallpapers.

Wallpapers: photos taken with an iPhone 7

This coming Friday, iPhone 7 hits store shelves and pre-orders arrive in the mail. The week between a pre-order and receiving the device is one of the most exciting times of the year for Apple fans. Immediately following the announcement, Apple litters the retail website with information about the new devices, including images that help show off the new design. When this occurs, I receive submissions for wallpapers via @jim_gresham, where you can send images for consideration and inclusion in the Wallpapers of the Week category.

This year, as the design focuses on the camera, Apple included a gallery of images, snapped by the new iPhone 7.  Inside, you fill find a collection of wallpapers from the iPhone 7 photo gallery. Additionally, there is an interactive scrolling ad, that includes images of an amorphous colored orb, which has been turned into a series of wallpapers as well. Step inside for iPhone 7 wallpapers.

Gradient wallpapers for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and desktop

Sunday arrives with a fresh set of device images for the Wallpapers of the Week section. One of the site’s most anticipated weekly posts, aims to bring you new device-specific wallpapers. There are a myriad of images amongst the vast Internet, but we ensure they are photo quality and perfectly scaled for your iOS, and sometimes desktop, devices.

The section is completed with images found around the Web, submitted to us directly, or stumbled upon through Twitter. Today, we highlight a long-time iDB fan favorite wallpaper creator, Jason Zigrino. Step inside for his latest.

HTC Sense 8 wallpapers for iPhone

The Wallpapers of the Week series is a dedicated iDB section that brings you quality wallpaper posts, every Sunday. We try to cover the full spectrum of imagery, from still shots, to naturescapes, to original digital creations.

It seems somewhat sacrilegious to host other system wallpapers on a site dedicated to Apple, but sometimes it doesn’t hurt to steal some inspiration. Today’s selection comes from the HTC Sense 8. Step inside to download the new wallpapers and be comforted knowing you don’t have to own an HTC to enjoy them.

Wallpapers of the week: textured

The Wallpapers of the Week section strives to bring you fresh images to your iOS devices every Sunday. Changing wallpapers is one of the quickest and most drastic ways to modify the look and feel of your daily driver, without a jailbreak. Consequently, having an arsenal of top quality images is key for every advanced user.

Trying to provide a smattering of all wallpaper types, today’s images are simply textured. No cityscapes, naturescapes, or galaxy images, download simple textured wallpapers for iPhone.

Wallpapers of the week: Hey Siri and Apple TV

This past week, Apple launched the new generation Apple TV. Pre-orders began to arrive Friday, October 30 and a plentiful supply of stock was available in Apple Stores. Two new features for the device include Siri enhanced search and navigation, along with new time lapse motion screen savers.

To commemorate the occasion, the included images are inspired by Siri and Apple TV in this Wallpapers of the Week installment. Take a step inside for a plethora of download options, including Apple Watch and iPad Pro sized images.

Wallpapers inspired by the new Apple Watch TV ads

One of the more popular wallpaper categories, are those images inspired by actual Apple events, banners, website designs, and advertisements. Last week, Apple released seven new Apple Watch TV ads, promoting their popular wearable device. The ads appear to harken back to the original iPod advertising days, with great color schemes and simplistic messages.

The expansive Apple Watch wallpaper collection

With the launch of WatchOS 2, Apple Watch owners can now more effectively control the look of their watch faces. By adding the ability to change photo based faces, Apple provided unlimited options to make Apple Watch fit your preferences.

Using a photo album, Apple Watch users are able to cycle through photos at each wrist raise, or have the photo remain constant. Last week, we released a set of Apple Watch wallpapers based on all previous iOS stock wallpaper images. Back by popular request, today, another giant collection is ready for download.

September 9 event wallpapers: “Hey Siri, give us a hint”

On Thursday, August 27, Apple released the media invitation for an event on September 9. The fall announcements typically highlight updates for iOS devices. Sometimes iPhone and iPad are announced separately, but it is estimated both devices will receive a refresh in the coming weeks.

In line with new invitations, the web quickly rushes to build corresponding, celebratory wallpapers. Inside, we have some quick work done by avid iDB readers. Within hours, they shared their collections and we pass them on to you.

Exclusive Apple Watch-inspired wallpapers

This past week marks the Apple Watch release date, April 24, 2015. Although the date has come under fire, at least a few pre-orders were filled and May/June ship dates are seeing movement. Since the pre-order launch on April 10, Apple removed the April 24 date from the online Apple Stores and Angela Ahrendts released an internal memo all but confirming in-store sales are not going to happen until around June.

Inside, we have the single largest wallpaper selection in an iDB post. Thanks to some great work by Jason Zigrino and Efrain Roa, there are enough images in there to keep you busy while waiting for your device. There are images for iPhone, iPad, and desktop in a wide range of colors that will match any new Apple Watch you are hoping to have in your hands.

New Macbook wallpapers for iPad, iPhone, and Desktop

Last week, Apple surprised us with a completely redesigned MacBook. Of course, there were leaks in the months leading up to the event, but the new technology and form factor is very astonishing. With a thinner design, new keyboard, Force Touch trackpad, and micro logic board, it is clear Apple is pushing laptop computing forward. Even the USB-C is striking.

In the opening video, a glimmering bubble floats into the Retina MacBook screen corner, showing off color depth and a glass-edged screen. In this week’s Wallpapers of the Week post, Jason Zigrino captures the bubble for all devices.
