Apple seeds iOS 9.1 beta 3 to developers

Apple on Wednesday seeded the third beta version of iOS 9.1 to developers. The software is available to registered developers either over-the-air, for those running the latest iOS 9.1 beta, or via Apple’s developer website.

Today's release comes one week after beta 2 was made available to developers, and 3 weeks after iOS 9.1 was first introduced to the public during Apple's iPhone 6s event at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco.

Apple seeds iOS 9.1 beta 2 to developers

Apple on Wednesday seeded the second beta version of iOS 9.1 to developers. The software is available to registered developers either over-the-air, for those running the first iOS 9.1 beta, or via Apple’s developer website.

Introduced earlier this month, iOS 9.1 will bring about new features for the just-announced iPad Pro, such as support for new accessories. The update also includes support for Unicode 8, which will add several new emoji.

Apple seeds iOS 9.1 beta 1 to public testers

Following the release of iOS 9.1 beta 1 to developers, Apple on Thursday seeded the first beta of iOS 9.1 to public testers. The software is available either over-the-air, for those running the latest iOS 9 beta, or via Apple's Beta Software Program website.

As announced yesterday, iOS 9.1 will bring about new features for the just-announced iPad Pro, such as support for Apple's new Smart Keyboard and Pencil accessories. The update also includes support for Unicode 8, which will add several new emoji.

Apple seeds iOS 9 GM and iOS 9.1 beta 1

Ahead of next week's September 16th's iOS 9 public release, Apple has seeded the iOS 9 Golden Master seed. This release, baring any unforeseen circumstances, will contain the same code that ships to customers next week.

Apple also took the time to release the first public beta of iOS 9.1. Reports have stated that the newly announced iPad Pro will come with iOS 9.1 once it ships in November.

Both iOS 9 GM and iOS 9.1 beta 1 are now available for download via Apple's Developer Center.
