Wouldn’t it be neat to receive a banner notification once that huge app finishes downloading? What about a less intrusive banner notification when your device is running low on battery life?
Notificator is an upcoming jailbreak tweak that can do that and more. In total there are eight system events that can be customized with both banners and sound to keep you abreast of what’s happening on your device.

Deck is an upcoming jailbreak tweak from SBCoders that is currently in beta testing. It promises to lend added functionality to your SpringBoard by adding an App switcher-esque side bar that’s accessible by swiping.
Inside the “hotbar” you’ll gain access to a multitude of customizable functions, and shortcuts. It looks like a great compliment to the currently existing App switcher.
MusicGestures is a jailbreak tweak that lends the ability to control the stock Music app with gestures instead of button presses. There are a total of 6 actions (7 if you count disabled as an action) that you can assign to any number of gestures.
The gestures can be used to skip, play, pause, and gather info on both the album cover view, and the individual track view.
It’s not the deepest tweak in the shed, but the simplicity of MusicGestures makes it worth a look… Read More
I can’t be the only one that thinks it’s weird that Apple’s still using those focus stealing low battery alerts, can I? I mean, doesn’t it seem like Apple would have preferred to use iOS 5′s new banner notifications instead?
Well, apparently I’m not the only one who feels that way, because a new tweak has been released in Cydia named LowPowerBanner, and it does just that… Read More
WorldClockCenter takes all of the world clocks you have configured inside the stock Clock app, and places them in Notification Center, along with a few extra configurable options. Check out our brief video walkthrough inside… Read More
Perhaps it’s just me, but it seems like awesome free jailbreak tweaks are more of the exception than the norm these days. For that reason, it’s always refreshing to see a good tweak that’s free, as is the case with WeeToolbox.
WeeToolbox adds five different functions — Tweet, Dial, Flashlight, Pastie, and Camera — to Notification Center, and it’s completely free… Read More

Apple has been seeding beta versions of iOS 5.1 to developers for almost three months now. And the most recent version, beta 3, was released more than a month ago. Apple is expected to unveil the new software alongside its iPad 3 next month.
That being said, the folks over at BlogdoiPhone are claiming that they’ve managed to acquire a Pre-GM version of iOS 5.1. And among the new features they’ve discovered, is a new Lock Screen camera icon (pictured above)… Read More
Today Apple took the wraps off of OS X Mountain Lion (I know, we should have saw that one coming) and continuing with the movement started with its predecessor, OS X Lion, it borrows heavily from iOS.
In fact, you could say that OS X Lion’s iOS implants were rather mild compared to what Mountain Lion plans to offer. Apple is obviously serious about completely combining the best elements of iOS directly into its desktop operating system, and no where is this more evident than with Mountain Lion.
Like times past, Apple has released a video teaser outlining various components of their upcoming OS X update. You’re already aware of one of them — iMessage — but what are the others? Read More
The ability to transfer files from iOS to other devices via Bluetooth is a glaring omission from Apple’s mobile products. The jailbreak community has made up for that a bit, with utilities like Celeste. But options are still limited.
That’s why we were excited to see AirBlue Sharing pop up in Cydia over the weekend. The full-featured app allows you to share files from your iOS 5 device, with almost any other Bluetooth-enabled device, with just a few taps… Read More
