Following Apple's official release of iOS 4.3.1 yesterday, notcom has updated TinyUmbrella to support the latest version of iOS.
TinyUmbrella version 4.30.05 supports iOS 4.3.1 for all iDevices. Compatibility excludes the Verizon iPhone 4, since Apple has yet to release iOS 4.3.x for the Verizon iPhone.
As a reminder, to save your SHSH blobs, simply connect your iDevice via USB to your computer, launch TinyUmbrella, and click the “Save SHSH” button.
Charlie Miller, a security expert who managed to jailbreak iOS 4.3 during the Pwn2Own hacking contest, has revealed an interesting piece of information about 4.3.1. According to Mr. Miller, the Safari exploit uncovered at Pwn2Own is still un-patched in Apple's latest build of iOS.
An official jailbreak has yet to be released for 4.3.1, but the fact that this obvious exploit still exists points to the possibility of a jailbreak solution similar to JailbreakMe. There is no concrete evidence that this bug will be used in a jailbreak tool for iOS 4.3.1...
When we told you about Comex's jailbreak, we warned you about ASLR (Address Space Layout Randomization). It was one of the new security measures Apple implemented into iOS to thwart off jailbreakers, and was expected to delay a jailbreak release for quite some time.
Well Comex later commented that while he had an exploit that worked, he knew 4.3.1 would release very soon, and did not want to risk Apple patching his exploit with the new firmware. Thus he would wait until that release, which happened earlier today, to release a jailbreak solution.
Those worried that Apple somehow disabled the jailbreak in the update need not worry. Popular jailbreak spokesman MuscleNerd, confirmed via twitter today that it didn't look like Apple fixed the glitch that Comex used in his hacking of the iPad 2.
Of course he also warns to hold off on updating to 4.3.1 until things are confirmed and stable. It has also been confirmed that Comex's exploit is a 'userland' jailbreak, which means it can be done straight off the iDevice. Those who remember the 'Spirit' jailbreak series remember jailbreaking was as easy as typing jailbreakme.com into Safari.

A friendly reminder to all our friends that jailbreak and/or unlock their iPhones. As we reported earlier today, Apple released iOS 4.3.1. If you care about your jailbreak and your unlock, do not update to iOS 4.3.1.
There is no jailbreak or unlock for iOS 4.3.1 yet, so if you update to the latest firmware version, you will lose your ability to jailbreak. Most of you already know that but jailbreak novices might not be aware of the situation...
It appears that the latest version of iOS has been posted to iTunes today. Loading up iTunes with your iDevice plugged in may cause it to automatically update to the newest firmware. Those who are jailbroken on 4.2.1 should hold off for the official 4.3.1 jailbreak to be released before updating.
The good news is that hackers i0n1c and Comex have been holding out on releasing their jailbreak software for 4.3.1 to be released. Now that it is, it should just be a matter of testing their exploit with 4.3.1 and making sure everything is stable.
MacRumors is reporting that the update fixes some bugs with the iPod touch and Apple TV. They also mention it relieves the 'Cannot Activate Cellular Network' glitch that has been plaguing iPhone users since 4.2.1 was released.
While the minor bug fixes would never entice me to update, the fact that an untethered jailbreak would be available for iOS 4.3.x has me foaming at the mouth. I want to take advantage of the new AirPlay enhancements that were released in 4.3 and I won't update until an official jailbreak is released.

Apple has released iOS 4.3.1 for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. If you "Check for Updates" in iTunes, you will now have the option to download and install the latest version of iOS.
iOS 4.3.1 fixes multiple bugs relating to graphics, enterprise authentication, and cellular connection glitches. Nothing that significant is contained in this latest build of iOS, and if you jailbreak, you'll want to hold off from updating.
As we reported last week, iOS 4.3 comes with serious battery drains for some users. While I haven't updated my iPhone 4 to 4.3 yet (I need my unlock), I can tell that the battery on my iPad 2 4.3 isn't that great at all.
The guys over at BGR got their hands on a 4.3.1 build and were didn't see anything new in there, besides the fact that battery life seems a bit better. They didn't conduct any kind of scientific test on it so it's hard to verify if battery is indeed better...
