If you’re anything like me, coming up with gift ideas for your loved ones can be a difficult task that happens to also be time consuming. That’s why every year, iDB Editors come up with a list of what they think would make great gifts for the techies and non-techies alike in your life, hoping it will help you find something for that special person.
This year, I have tried to stay on a budget, and although there are a couple big ticket items in my list, most of them are very affordable. After all, it isn’t the size or price of the gift that matters, but the size of the heart that gives it. Read More

One of my favorite things about the holidays is gift-hunting. Whether I’m looking for something to add to my own wish list, or shopping for others, I love trying to track down the perfect present. So as you can imagine, I enjoy taking part in iDB’s annual Holiday Gift Guide.
My picks this year consist of both fun and practical gift ideas, that have proven to be well-made and well-reviewed. As you might have guessed, many of the suggestions are tech-related, but I did make sure to include a few non-tech ideas for those that prefer non-gadget gifts. Read More

My least favorite thing about Christmas is finding gifts for others. I’m usually completely uncreative when it comes to gift ideas, which is why those gift guides are helpful to me. During the last few days, my colleagues at iDB have shared their gift ideas, and today is my turn. Of course, this is really tech oriented, because you know, we’re tech heads. There is something for every budget, from big spenders to affordable stocking stuffers, I hope you’ll find something to your liking here. Read More

It’s that time of year again for the writers at iDB to tell you all what to do with your money this holiday season. We all have different tastes, but we share a love of gadgets, especially Apple ones. This is the third year for our gift guide. Hopefully, we’ve given our readers some inspiration for the perfect gift for that special someone. Below is my list of great holiday gifts that I think fans of gadgets and gizmos will find worth checking out. My list is made up of gift ideas for fans of music, gaming, and mobile accessories in general.

Now I’m not sure if you folks have noticed, but we’re currently hurtling towards Christmas. It’s not so much crept up on us as jumped out from behind a pillar, pulled a funny face and shouted “oogabooga” at the top of its lungs. Christmas is just around the corner, and it’s time to get those gifts sorted out.
If you’re much more organized than my good self, then you’re probably reading this with a decidedly smug grin on your face sipping on some egg nog, but if like me you just can’t bring yourself to do Christmas shopping until the week in which the day actually occurs then you may just be sat panicking at the thought of coming up with some gift ideas.
And that’s where we come in. Read More

The year has flown by and 2014 has reached its holiday season, which means the usual cold weather, long lines, gift shopping, family visits, delectable food, and exorbitant amounts of sweets. In an effort to help you avoid the lines and still find meaningful gifts for your friends and family, my colleagues and I have compiled our yearly holiday gift guides with a gift for everyone on your list.
Throughout the year, I’ve come across several amazing devices, accessories, and services that I’ve grown to love and use daily. Each of these has a lasting value and isn’t likely to be forgotten, abandoned, or returned the day after Christmas – a quality I look for in things I purchase all year long. Read More

It’s that time of year again and iDownloadBlog is right on cue with its traditional Holiday Gift Guide. Choosing the perfect Christmas gift can be stressful, whether you’re looking to surprise your best friend with a useful item that won’t break the bank, delight your gadget-toting family members with handy accessories, or give that special someone in your life a unique surprise.
Here’s a list of holiday gifts that, based on my personal experience, provide long lasting value without costing too much. Needless to say, it’s a highly subjective list and you may not agree with all of the recommended products. That’s beyond the point, however, as the article is meant to provide an inspiration as you research before buying things for yourself and the people in your life you care about. Read More

The holiday season always presents a great deal of challenge for me as I struggle to figure out what I’m going to offer to my loved ones. My daughter is two now and it’s already difficult to shop for her. You’d think that a doll would do it, but if her birthday is any indication, it appears she’d be as happy with an empty box and anything that can make loud noises.
If you’re anything like me, you’ll probably need a little inspiration for your holiday shopping.
Like every year, I join other iDB editors to share a list of gifts that I believe would make anyone who receive them as happy as I would be. The list is of course biased towards tech items, but I did make an effort to include stuff for the people in your life who might not have an inner geek. Read More

You’ve already heard from Cody, Lory, Oliver and Jim about their gift suggestions so it’s my turn now to articulate some of my favorite gadgets and accessories to possibly make your holidays merrier.
My personal picks may not be what you’d call tremendously diverse, but they do reflect the values I’m all about: innovation, practicality, power and true passion for awesome design which doesn’t sacrifice form over function and inspires folks to get the most from their gadgets.
Plus, I stand by these products as a direct result of using them myself and have voted for each and every one of them with my wallet. It’s my hope these suggestions will help you choose something worthy of that special someone with a technological bent, or at least give you some fresh ideas on boosting your everyday computing.

The second annual holiday gift guide is taking submissions from the iDB editing team. Looking back, there are quite a few items that made my list this year, most of which were released in 2013. Also, as the hardware review editor, many of the items were reviewed on the site.
Last year I took a look at bargain priced items, but I threw pricing to the side this year. Why limit the excitement to items under $30? Take a look below for my suggested gifts for the gear head in your life. In no particular order, genre or category, let’s dive in… Read More

We’re now firmly into that time of year where we all start panicking. Christmas is supposed to be a joyful time. A time for bringing family and friends together for a good party and far too much eating. As Cody has already pointed out, this is the second annual gift guide, and we’re hoping that it will be as useful for you reading it as it was for us as we wrote it. I may not be the first to share my gifting tips here, but hopefully I’ve still got a few ideas up my sleeve that haven’t already been chosen.

Similar to last year, the writers at iDownloadBlog have compiled a list of favorite gift ideas.

It’s that time of year again, when we’re all scrambling around trying to find that perfect gift for the loved ones in our lives.
If you’re anything like me, you revert to type and try desperately to find something with a technological bent. Be it earphones, an iDevice stand or some fancy software; gifts are hard enough to buy at the best of times, let alone when you know nothing about the subject matter.
Here I’ll showcase a handful of handy gift ideas across the world of tech and specifically, Apple. Some are cheap. Some not so much. But hey, it’s Christmas… Read More
