A little over a week after the evasi0n jailbreak tool for iOS 6 devices initially dropped, the hardworking folks over at FireCore have finally provided us with a tool to do likewise for our Apple TV 2's.

The big upgrade this time around regarding the Apple TV's latest firmware, is Bluetooth keyboard support. It, along with a few additional minor features certainly makes it worth upgrading to the latest and greatest. Seas0nPass jailbreak tool updated for Apple TV 5.2

Good news for all of you second generation Apple TV owners out there. FireCore has just announced that the latest firmware for the set-top box, Apple TV 5.2, is now jailbreakable thanks to an update to the Seas0nPass tool.

Seas0nPass updated to support new Apple TV 5.0.2 firmware

It's been nearly 24 hours since Apple pushed out 5.0.2 to Apple TV owners, and, at least at the time of this writing, it has still yet to post any details regarding the update. The ATV support page still shows 5.0.1 as the latest software.

But perhaps the changes in 5.0.2 were so minute that it didn't warrant any kind of changelog. After all, the folks at FireCore have already managed to update their Seas0nPass jailbreak utility to support the new firmware...

aTV Flash (black) receives another awesome update

The folks over at FireCore just can't stop releasing awesome updates to their Apple TV 2 jailbreak software. The latest update to aTV Flash (black) — version 1.6 — headlines with a new integrated subtitle download feature. This feature allows you to identify and download subtitles directly from the Apple TV, instead of going on a separate manhunt on your computer to find the files.

Along with the new subtitle feature comes support for playing DRM enabled iTunes content directly from the Apple TV. You will still need to use a username and password to authenticate, but at least now we have an option.

Seas0nPass 0.8.4 released with support for iOS 5.0.1 (5.1.1)

Today has been a great day for jailbreakers. Earlier this morning we saw the release of RedSn0w 0.9.11b1 bring the ability to downgrade the firmware of A5 devices, and now a new version of Seas0nPass has become available.

For those who aren't familiar with the software, Seas0nPass is essentially the equivalent of RedSn0w for the Apple TV. And with version 0.8.4, you can now jailbreak your second-generation ATV on the latest firmware...

FireCore releases aTV Flash (black) 1.5 with several updates

FireCore announced today that it has released a new version of its popular Apple TV app, aTV Flash (black). The update brings the software to version 1.5, and includes several new additions.
