Tweak Tracker Lets You Submit and Vote for iPhone Jailbreak Mods

Chpwn, one of my favorite jailbreak apps developers, came up with a brilliant idea to figure out what mods and jailbreak apps iPhone users want and need. It's called Tweak Tracker and it's dead simple.

Anyone can submit tweaks or apps ideas to the website. Then anyone can vote on those same ideas. The one that make it to the top obviously get more chances of being developed.

Jailbreak Mod Removes Folder Badges on Your iPhone

Have you ever been annoyed by the badges showing on the folders of your iPhone? Personally, it never bugged me but Chpwn, the developer of No Folder Badges must think otherwise.

No Folder Badges is a new tweak available in Cydia that does one single thing: removing the folder badges (ie. badges for available app updates, unread emails, etc...).

Five Icon Switcher Tweak for iPhone

Five Icon Switcher is a new mod by Chpwn that, just like the name suggests, brings an additional icon to your iPhone multitasking switcher. Not groundbreaking but simple and very convenient. That's the kind of mods I like!

InfiniFolders Lets You Add Unlimited Icons to Your iPhone Folders

InfiniFolders is a new application that lets you add unlimited icons to your folders. Currently you are limited to 12 apps per folder but InfiniFolders will lift this restriction and allow you to have unlimited icons in each folder.

Very similar to InfiniBoard, you can access your apps inside folders through a flick up and down.

InfiniFolders is available in Cydia for $1.99. It was developed by Chpwn, one of my favorite jailbreak app developer, who previously brought us InfiniBoard and InfiniDock.

Let us know how you like InfiniFolders if you choose to download it.

The iPhone 4 is Jailbroken

Ladies and gentlemen, there is a jailbreak for iPhone 4. iPhone hackers PlanetBeing and Chpwn have managed to get root access (jailbreak) the iPhone 4, by using a variation of the Spirit jailbreak by Comex.

A few hours ago, PlanetBeing posted the following on Twitter:

Think I’m the first one I know about to get a root shell (and SSH) on iPhone 4, using poor @comex’s code (since he has no iPhone 4)

This was later confirmed by MuscleNerd who posted a tweet containing this retina display image of Cydia on an iPhone 4.

And now for the bad news... iPhone hacker p0sixninja confirmed on Twitter that this version of Spirit used to jailbreak the iPhone 4 cannot be released at the time being because it contains parts of Apple's proprietary code, which is obviously illegal.

This bad news was also confirmed by PlanetBeing which insisted on the fact that Spirit is nowhere ready for a release. What does that mean? Well, it means it might take a few more days, maybe weeks, until Spirit can officially be released to jailbreak the iPhone 4.

Infiniboard Brings Vertical Scrolling to Your iPhone Springboard

Chpwn is one of my favorite jailbreak devs because he creates really useful apps and mods that just make your iPhone experience better. He worked with Ryan Petrich on ProSwitcher, he developed InfiniDock, and today, he just released InfiniBoard. InfiniBoard is a jailbreak application that simply brings vertical scrolling to your iPhone springboard. It lets you add as many icons as you wish to any page, and access them by flicking up and down. I've played with InfiniBoard for about an hour now and it works as described. The way I went about it is that instead of moving my icons one by one to a page, I used MultiIconMover to move all my icons at once. It saved me lots of time. On the springboard, I left my first and second page of apps with 12 icons per page. These are the apps I use the most and I wanted to keep part of my springboard "clean". On the third page, I added every other application so I can just browse through them by scrolling vertically.

I'll have to test InfiniBoard on a longer period of time to figure out if I like it or not. So far, I think it's worth the $1.99. What do you think?
