Apple hires another Burberry exec ahead of Apple Watch launch

After appointing former Burberry CEO Angela Ahrendts its new Senior Vice President of Apple Retail, and having recently hired Burberry's social media executive Musa Tariq, Apple has now poached another high-profile executive from the British luxury fashion house.

As first discovered by Mark Gurman of 9to5Mac, Chester Chipperfield, the Vice President of Digital and Interactive Design at Burberry, has now joined the Cupertino firm.

Apple posts new ‘On the runway with iPhone 5s’ video

Apple has added a new video to both its YouTube channel and iPhone marketing page called 'On the runway with iPhone 5s.' The clip contains footage from the Burberry Womenswear Spring/Summer 2014 fashion show from last September.

For those who missed our original post on the fashion show, Apple handed out then-pre-release iPhone 5s units to Burberry employees to cover the event. Their footage highlighted the handset's image quality and new slow-motion feature...

Video: Burberry London fashion show, shot entirely with an iPhone 5s

Burberry and Apple announced last week that the fashion retailer will be exclusively using the iPhone 5s to film a fashion show that's currently underway in London and take images of the runway, beauty looks, product details and backstage moments. A nice promo tie-in is meant to associate the aspirational Apple brand with high fashion.

Burberry on Tuesday published the full video of the event, “shot exclusively on iPhone 5s". The video runs fifteen minutes long and is available in its entirety right past the fold...

Luxury brand Burberry will use iPhone 5s to capture fashion show

Fashion retailer Burberry (not to be mistaken for BlackBerry) just announced that it will be using Apple's new iPhone 5s to capture images and photographs at the upcoming high-profile fashion show scheduled to run in London next week. Not only will Burberry be using the improved iSight camera on the iPhone 5s to shoot stills and video, they'll be also taking high-quality shots to document runway and beauty looks, product details and backstage moments. And I bet they've opted for gold devices...
