Good news for those looking for a good way to kill some time while iOS 7 downloads, there’s a new Angry Birds game out. Rovio has just released Angry Birds Star Wars II, and it’s now available for download in the App Store.
Like the first installment, the game is based on the “Star Wars” movies, and allows players to join either the Pork Federation or the “Pork Side.” There’s more than 30 playable characters here, including Yoda, Jango Fett and more… Read More
It’s easy to downplay the wild success Rovio’s enjoyed with the Angry Birds games like no one is interested when in reality people continue to play and buy everything related to the franchise like there’s no tomorrow. It’s also OK not to admit you’re a fan of the series and still be interested in an Angry Birds-themed kart racing game the Finnish developer’s been working on.
Created in partnership with Austrian energy drink powerhouse Red Bull, Angry Birds Go is much like a few other racing games Red Bull has previously endorsed, though we’re of course expecting something of a twist here… Read More
Angry Birds maker Rovio today posted two amusing videos pertaining to the upcoming Angry Birds Star Wars II, the first installment to its Star Wars-themed Angry Birds game that was released last November.
Keeping it on the fun side, Rovio invites you to “join the Pork Side” and play as the piggies. That’s right, Angry Birds Star Wars II will feature bird and pig versions. Exploring some of the more than thirty characters from the Star Wars universe to be featured in the game, these clips are voiced by actor Ian McDiarmid who played the legendary Emperor character in the Star Wars movies… Read More

A while ago we stopped posting stories about episodic updates to Rovio’s Angry Birds bird-flinging series because we felt these games have run their course. Today’s update is different and noteworthy because for the first time Rovio has brought Angry Birds and Bad Piggies together in a Red’s Mighty Feathers update to the original Angry Birds game.
The approach has resulted in an all-new gameplay that sees you shooting down wave after wave of pesky pugs advancing in their 73 crazy contraptions, including wacky flying machines… Read More
Raise your hand if you’ve been thinking to yourself “you know, I think there really needs to be another Angry Birds game.” No one? Ok. Well apparently that’s what the folks at Rovio have been thinking, because one is coming.
The developers of the popular Angry Birds platform just announced on their blog that they have an all new game in the works called ‘Angry Birds Go.’ It didn’t offer up many details for the game, but it did post this teaser image… Read More
It’s pretty mind-boggling to think about what the folks at Rovio have done with the Angry Birds franchise. What started out as just a simple game has turned into a multimedia empire complete with its own clothing line, TV show, and feature film.
And for those of you who’ve yet to see what all of the fuss is about, I have some good news for you. Apple has just named Angry Birds Space as its ‘App of the Week’, meaning you can download the game (iPhone and iPad) for free for a limited time… Read More
We’re growing increasingly tired of Angry Birds here – that’s why we’ve stopped telling you about each and every content update Rovio puts out. This one, however, is newsworthy as it allows iPad and iPhone users to exclusively capture and upload gameplay videos straight from their devices.
Also new in this update: fifteen new levels to master and two brand new items to use – suction-cup tires and spring-loaded boxing gloves. I’ve included a gampeplay video showcasing these new items right after the break… Read More
As promised, Finnish mobile games maker Rovio today launched the mobile edition of Angry Birds Friends. The Facebook edition launched on Facebook a year ago.

As we told you, Finland-based Angry Birds maker Rovio continues to milk its franchise with the announcement of an animated series titled Angry Birds Toons. It’s premiering on the weekend of March 16 and 17 and today Rovio revealed that it will be airing the episodes directly via its Angry Birds apps, in addition to other more traditional distribution channels.
That’s a clever move considering more than 1.7 billion Angry Birds downloads across devices and operating systems. If they offered a standalone Toons app, I don’t think many people would download it. The first episode titled ‘Chuck Time’ will be airing in the Angry Birds Toons channel this Sunday, March 17, with a trailer for it included right after the break… Read More
It appears as if Angry Birds maker Rovio is changing strategy lately and switching away from paid downloads to free ones. Having briefly experimented with a massive 99-cent sale of its iPad titles last month and adding free, ad-supported downloads to its puzzler Amazing Alex, today the company has made the game that started it all – the original Angry Birds – free for the first time ever on Apple’s mobile platform. Unlike free Angry Birds downloads on Android, this one doesn’t come with in-app advertisements and Rovio also has added 15 new levels to keep you going… Read More

This episode introduces a new planet called Splash that features pigs in boats – how bizarre is that?.
Also look for strange aquatic extraterrestrial life and water-based physics allowing for some nice trick shots. The game adds power-up specific leaderboards and amuses with the stuff like inflating the pigs with Pig Puffer and creating black holes with Space Egg, to name a few. I wonder if the giant fish is the boss… Read More
