Apple reportedly paid $485 million for Texture

Apple agreed to pay nearly $500 million to purchase digital magazine subscription service Texture, according to a new report from The New York Post. The acquisition was first announced a year ago, and last month Apple launched its News+ service largely based on the Texture platform.

Apple acquires voice app startup Pullstring

Apple has agreed to purchase voice app startup Pullstring, according to a report from Axios. The San Francisco-based company was founded by a group of former Pixar executives in 2011 and its technology has been used in everything from interactive voice apps for toys, to Amazon Echo and Google Assistant products.
