If you’re in the mood to give your iPhone or iPad’s stock animations a bit more oomph, then you should consider checking out a new free jailbreak tweak called Bounce It! By iOS developer Jake James.
Upon installing Bounce It!, your handset’s animations become significantly bouncier. Impacted animations include but aren’t limited to:
- Launching and exiting applications
- Opening and closing folders
- Accessing App Switcher
- Accessing Control Center
- Moving between recently-used applications
- And more…
The example below, provided by the tweak developer, demonstrates how Bounce It! looks in various interfaces throughout Apple’s mobile operating system:
If you’re experiencing Déjà vu right about now, then it’s probably because Bounce It! is an iOS 11-compatible remake of the ever-so-popular Bouncy10 tweak for iOS 10.
Those who enjoy fun and quirky additions to their otherwise ordinary handset will appreciate Bounce It! for what it is: a simple means of making your iOS device more entertaining to use.
With no options to configure, what you see is what you get. This is slightly disappointing, as the tweak’s predecessor did have adjustments that allowed you to make the bounce animations as subtle or as jerky as you wanted them to be.
Bounce It! is available as a free download from Cydia’s BigBoss repository and works with all jailbroken iOS 11 devices. Those using a jailbroken installation of iOS 10 or earlier should look at Bouncy10 instead.
