Founded in 2006 by U2 frontman Bono and activist Bobby Shriver, (RED)-licensed products help raise funds for The Global Fund. The non-profit helps people affected by HIV or AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria in African countries. During its 11-year partnering with (RED), Apple has donated more than $160 million to the Global Fund.
The iPhone maker is the organization’s largest corporate donor.
