Reminder: Facebook now lets you order food for takeout or delivery

Facebook recently launched a feature that allows customers in the United states to order food for pick-up or delivery using the company’s mainland mobile app or the desktop website.

They’ve been testing this since last year and now it’s available everywhere in the United States on the mobile app for iOS and Android or via the web interface at facebook.com.

It combines options from both ordering services and restaurants, saving you from examining your options across multiple places. To help you make an informed purchasing decision, you can even see what your friends have to say about a restaurant before you order your food.

To use this cool feature, choose Order Food in the Explore menu.

At present, ordering services available via Facebook include Delivery.com, DoorDash, ChowNow, Zuppler, EatStreet, Slice and Olo.

Several restaurant chains in the United States support ordering foods directly with Facebook, such as Papa John’s, Wingstop, Panera, Jack in the Box, TGI Friday’s, Denny’s, El Pollo Loco, Chipotle, Five Guys and Jimmy John’s.

If a restaurant offers multiple delivery services, you can select which service you’d like to use with your existing login. Don’t have an account with that service? Don’t worry, Facebook allows you to sign up quickly without ever leaving their app.
