It seems as though there’s even less information available about the Apple Watch Series 3 than there was for the Apple Watch Series 2 when it was launched last year. What we do know is that the Apple Watch Series 3 holds the same dimensions as the previous generation.

What we do know is that the Apple Watch Series 3 retains (mostly) the same dimensions as the previous generation, however to accomodate for some hardware changes, the back crystal is now just 0.25mm thicker. Additionally, only the Cellular + GPS model has the polarizing red Digital Crown.

Kinda surprised they didn’t put Bluetooth 5.0 in.

    • ShawnTXDFW

I agree. With 5.0 on the new iPhones why would they not have pushed 5.0 Hrmmm.

  • Alex Wilson

With all the talk about the research into glucose monitoring I’d really hoped to see that in this new Watch, the heart rate monitoring and LTE is nice, but still not enough for me to start wearing a watch again.

    • Number216

ditto, I was really excited when it was announced that the new Apple Watch would be able to take glucose readings, but now it’s just a Bluetooth accessory for glucose meters

      • Alex Wilson

Yep and most phones do that just fine. Maybe v4… maybe.

What I dislike is the red Digital Crown. I have the 42MM Space Black and with it being all black, even the crown, it just looks stunning. While I will ditch out to get the Series 3 I’m wondering what stickers, mods, whatever can be done to cover up the red crown on the watch. Though not to big of a big deal for some, it really is to me. I could always use a sharpie I guess! Lol.

    • therealjjohnson

Its only on the cellular version. Looks cool to me tho.

      • ShawnTXDFW

Yeah, I know it’s only on the cellular version. To me it kind of sticks out like an eyesore. I’d rather just have all black period. To each his/her own though.

  • Mon Cooper

    Very excited

  • MTBSnob

Nothing about the internal memory? Is it still 8GB?

  • techfreak23

That red crown is disgusting. What the hell was Jony Ive thinking!?!?!?

    • therealjjohnson

Disgusting? Its a red dot. Chill…

Prob get the non lte version or just a s2. My s0 is awesome and all after 2 years. But I think its time swap her in.
