The new Apple TV 4K will go up for preorder on September 15th, and will be released the following Friday, September 22nd. While there are other small features, the biggest additions is 4K, HDR, and Dolby Vision support.

There are two different versions of the new Apple TV, a 32gb and 64gb version, priced at $179, and $199 respectively.

Aside from 4K and HDR support, the new Apple TV has a new, beefier A10X Fusion processor. Other improvements include live sports & news, a minor update to the Siri remote, gigabit ethernet, HDMI 2.0, Bluetooth 5.0, and more.

Also coming to the new Apple TV 4K, as well as the previous 4th generation Apple TV, is tvOS 11. There are many refinements across the system including Home screen sync across your other Apple TVs, automatic dark mode switching based on the time of day, AirPods support, among others.
