After month of build up, the premiere episode of Carpool Karaoke is available to stream on Apple Music. Starring Will Smith and the show creator James Corden, the episode runs about 20-minutes long where the pair sings along several songs, including of course the theme of Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
Carpool Karaoke was created in 2015 by James Corden and aired as a recurring segment of The Late Late Show with James Corden, where the host would invite famous musical guests to sing along with him. Apple bought the rights to this show in 2016 to make it an Apple Music exclusive.
Under Apple’s flag, the show’s concept will mostly remain identical except Corden will not appear in every episode. Corden, who hosts the first episode being streamed now, will apparently also appear in the final episode of the season. In the meantime, the show will feature various start pairings such as Ariana Grande and Seth MacFarlane, John Cena and Shaquille O’Neal, and many others.
Sixteen episode have been produced for this first series, ranging in length from about sixteen to twenty minutes. It is available for streaming exclusively on Apple Music for subscribers only.
