Apple releases teasers for “Carpool Karaoke” ahead of next week’s release

Apple’s version of “Carpool Karaoke”, based on the viral segment of “The Late Late Show” with James Corden, will premiere on Apple Music next Tuesday so the company released new teaser videos today to drum up excitement around the show’s debut.

Featuring a different host every episode with celebrity pairings ranging from Alicia Keys and John Legend to Billy Eichner and Metallica, the show revolves around rich and famous people who can be seen driving around in a car and singing along to their personal playlists.

Here are the two teasers released today, with the first one featuring former musician turned actor Will Smith and comedian/TV host James Corden singing the theme song to the TV show “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air” in which Will played the lead character.

The second video is a collection of various moments from different episodes of “Carpool Karaoke”, set to the song “Get Up Offa That Thing” by James Brown.

Some of the celebrities that have been confirmed to appear on the show include Will Smith, Billy Eichner, Metallica, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Ariana Grande, Seth MacFarlane, Chelsea Handler, Blake Shelton, Michael Strahan, John Cena and Shaquille O’Neal.

“Carpool Karaoke: The Series” will premiere in more than a hundred countries exclusively on Apple Music next Tuesday, August 8, with each of the sixteen half-hour episodes set to be released on a weekly basis.
