Anyone who was a fan of Auxo probably remembers one of its biggest individual features, Hot Corners, which supercharged the experience of multitasking on iOS by empowering you with the ability to swipe up from a specific corner of your device to quickly switch between apps.

This feature is now being reborn in a new free jailbreak tweak called Kaze by Qusic and Sentry. This essentially takes that one feature from Auxo and packs it into a standalone tweak.

With Kaze installed, you can swipe up from the left corner of your device’s display to invoke the Quick Switcher, which allows you to easily pan through all of your recently used apps without ever lifting your finger up from the display.

The app you have your finger on when you lift your finger up from the display is the one that launches. See the demonstration in the GIF below:

Because the tweak is so quick and easy to use, it is a great alternative to the App Switcher. It can be used to increase the speed of your multitasking exponentially because it doesn’t require as much user input to be used.

Kaze adds a preferences pane to the Settings app that lets you configure the tweak on demand:

Here, you will find all of the following options:

  • Toggle the Quick Switcher on or off
  • Toggle the Hot Corners feature on or off
  • Choose whether or not to allow access to the App Switcher
  • Invert the hot corners gesture
  • Disable the hot corners in some apps

With the ability to disable the Hot Corners gesture in only certain apps, you can prevent the gesture from conflicting with gestures you might typically use in certain apps, which can be important for some full-screen games, among other things.

If you’re interested in trying out the Kaze jailbreak tweak, you can grab it for free from Cydia’s BigBoss repository. Unlike versions of Auxo, which have included this feature in the past, you won’t have to shell out any money, which is sure to excite a number of you.

Any news about the iPhone 7 jailbreak?

Wait, so Sentry still got time for tweak design? I hope they update Auxo for 10

    • I don’t think Sentry had to re-make this concept after already making it in an earlier version of Auxo. That said, he’s still MIA. The developer just needed to make it iOS 10-compatible.

    iPad Compatible??

    • Do you expect the authors to test every tweak with every possibility of other tweaks? Thats a little ridiculous.

It’s up to user like you in a forum like this (or reddit) to report things like that to the community. 🙂

Actually, kind of. Every tweak?? Nope, but I’m also doubting that most jailbreak users only has one tweak installed at a time either.

Basically, at least mention if you have had any issues on your own personal jailbroken device (something I have seen done in a few blogs).

Also, Reddit?? Seriously, comment sections on blogs like this one are only 10% as bad as some of the stuff I’ve seen on Reddit.

is there an app killer yet?

  • How do you close apps with this fantastic tweak?

    • Swipe up from the bottom of the right side of the screen.

      • But it doesn’t kill it. I miss something like KillAllBackground. I can’t close any application with it. I have to push home button and close one a one. Thanks for the help
