If you pre-ordered the iPhone 7 or 7 Plus, or are hoping to score one in-store during launch weekend, you’re going to want to start thinking about accessories. We’ve already recommended some good cases and Bluetooth headphones, and now it’s time to talk about screen protectors.

Despite its largely familiar design, the iPhone 7 features a few tiny changes (wider earpiece, for example) that likely mean your iPhone 6 and 6s screen protectors won’t fit properly. But never fear, we’ve rounded up some great, inexpensive options to help keep your screen scratch-free.

Maxboost 2 Pack Tempered Glass Screen Protector for iPhone 7

Maxboost has a solid track record in iPhone screen protectors. This one is 0.2mm tempered glass, and it comes in a pack of two. Its clear hydrophobic and oleophobic screen coating protects against sweat and oil residue from fingerprints, and it comes with a lifetime no-hassle warranty. Plus it has been tested to work with 3D touch.

TechArmor’s screen protectors have served me well in the past. When they take a hit, you head to their web site, click a few things and they drop a new one on the mail. Works for me.

  • Diego Milano

ARMORZ is a good brand, although their stock availability is absurdly low.
Thanks a lot for putting together this article, I’ve shared it and stored for reference. 🙂

Lol you listed the worse screen protectors out. What you should of done is listed the new edge to edge 3D tempered glass ones.

    • L J

      Well list them then.

      • TwinSon

        Agreed. List them.

      • Jerry

Go to Amazon and type in iPhone 7 edge to edge 3D and they’ll pop up. I posted links here but it’s been saying it has to get a approved for a while now

For my 6S+ I got an otterbox tempered glass screen protector for about $35 and a clear silicone case for $5 from Five Below, that way it still keeps the same look for the most part. I’ve dropped it several times and it’s been good. Maybe you could find something similar

  • [RECON1]

I went and order Alpha Glass from Otterbox. A bit more pricey than the list here, but might be worth it.

    • J3ff

      i did the same!

The top cutout looks too small, I believe the cutout should be longer because that’s where the second speaker is, it looks like an iPhone 6s or 6 screen protector

  • dnice

    What about zagg?

  • Am I the only one that hates Tempered Glass Screen protectors?

  • Jake Platt

Belkin iPhone 6 screen protectors fit perfectly..

  • NanamiAsuri

I bought one from Amazon the day before last and I read reviews dating back to August. I wonder if they just assumed the front glass would be the same…. Looks like I’m getting a refund

  • Bugs Bunnay

    Oh god… Screen protectors.

  • Nick Brown

Cant you use a iPhone 6/6s screen protector on the iPhone 7?

  • Franz Rivera

The Zagg glass screens are so much more expensive, are they better? For ~$40 you only get one…

I have been a fan of Gadgetshieldz products since long. Pre-ordered their iPhone 7 protectors which arrived in mail 2 days ago, just in time for my iPhone 7 to be covered. Fits like a glove on the screen and entire body although the corners of the body shield do take some time and patience to get stuck on the iPhone.
I have checked most of the links above – some of them point to the iPhone 6/6S screen protectors . I have to warn folks here that the screen protectors for the iPhone 6/6S will not fit the iPhone 7. As somebody has pointed out, the speakers are a bit wide on the iPhone 7. Glad my gadgetshieldz screen protectors have a perfect fit.
