Telegram, a secure instant messaging service that supports rich media attachments and optional end-to-end encryption, today refreshed its mobile app on the App Store with a few new features. Telegram for iOS, now bumped to version 3.11, offers some interesting new sticker packs and lets you archive those you no longer use.

You can now preview groups before joining them and store your messages and media in the new storage chat.

Telegram is available free on the App Store and Mac App Store.

A new tab in settings lets you see and install trending stickers, with unused ones automatically stashed away in the Archived stickers category when you go over the built-in 200 limit.

As mentioned, you can now preview groups before joining them via invite link, which lets you see who else is in the group before joining.

“Keep messages, media and any other stuff in the new storage chat with yourself, accessible through the redesigned contacts screen,” according to release notes.

The previous Telegram updates have brought out additional capabilities, including Picture-in-Picture support for all Telegram videos on compatible iPads so that you can continue watching and listening while accomplishing other tasks in Telegram.

The app can be set to automatically delete messages after they have been seen, you can @mention people in groups and even edit sent messages within two days after posting

Grab Telegram Messenger for iOS from the App Store. The download includes a native Apple Watch app for reading and responding to incoming messages from your wrist.

Telegram for Mac, a free download from the Mac App Store, was not updated with the new features the startup just added to its mobile edition.
