Apple’s 12-inch MacBook, originally released in April of 2015, is now available for purchase on Apple’s Certified Refurbished store. This makes the first time that the diminutive laptop has been made available as a Certified Refurb unit.
Right now, you can score the low end model for $200 off the retail price at $1099. That model features a 1.1 Ghz Core M processor and 256GB of PCIe flash storage. Higher end models are also available for a discount, but you better act fast, as they’re selling out quickly.
The listing is so new that Apple hasn’t even updated the sidebar on its refurb page with a link to the MacBook. Instead, you’ll need to look at the main Mac refurb page and scroll down until you find the 12-inch MacBook. You can also use the direct links provided here in order to find them.
Only four out of the initial six remain, so you better move quickly if you want in on these deals.
- Refurbished 12-inch MacBook 1.1GHz Dual-core Intel Core M – Silver(256GB storage) $1099
- Refurbished 12-inch MacBook 1.1GHz Dual-core Intel Core M – Gold (256GB storage) $1099
- Refurbished 12-inch MacBook 1.2GHz Dual-core Intel Core M – Silver (512GB storage) $1359
- Refurbished 12-inch MacBook 1.3GHz Dual-core Intel Core M – Silver (512GB storage) $1489
This isn’t the first time that we’ve seen the 12-inch MacBook on sale though, as Best Buy and other popular retailers ran huge promotions during the holiday period. In fact, Best Buy was selling the low end model for a cool $999, $300 off the retail price of $1299.
Keep in mind that refurb Macs are often wise choices. Not only do they go through rigorous testing, but they’re cheaper, feature a 14-day return policy, come with a full 1-year warranty, and qualify for AppleCare protection. I’ve bought several refurbs in the past, and have had great success with them.
Would you consider buying Macbook now?
