Apple adds 20 new Flyover locations to Maps

Apple on Tuesday added 20 new locations to the 3D Flyover feature in its iOS and OS X Maps applications. The new spots include cities and landmarks in the US, Japan, Italy, Spain and France.

First introduced when Apple Maps launched in 2012, the Flyover feature allows users to take interactive, three-demensional virtual tours of various points of interest from around the world.

Here are the 20 new locations:

  • Aarhus, Denmark
  • Bobbio, Italy
  • Budapest, Hungary
  • Cádiz, Spain
  • Chenonceaux, France
  • Dijon, France
  • Ensenada, Mexico
  • Gothenburg, Sweden
  • Graz, Austria
  • Loreto, Mexico
  • Malmö, Sweden
  • Mayagüez, Purto Rico
  • Millau, France
  • Nice, France
  • Omaha Beach
  • Rapid City, SD
  • Rotterdam, Netherlands
  • Sapporo, Japan
  • Strasbourg, France
  • Turin, Italy

Apple has added Flyover support to more than 50 new locations in 2015, and there are now more than 150 locations in total. In late June, the company added new spots from Europe and Puerto Rico.
