CircleIcons Featured

Want a way to change up the look of the Settings app icons without WinterBoard? Then you might want to give CircleIcons a try, a new jailbreak tweak that masks the icons in the Settings app with a circle shape sans WinterBoard. CircleIcons is a lightweight and fun tweak to modify the look of the Settings app without taking it to extremes.

After installing CircleIcons, the tweak should begin working immediately, as it is switched on by default. However, there is a preference panel for the CircleIcons in the Settings app that lets you quickly venture back to the default rounded-square look. There’s also another option that allows you to completely omit the presence of icons altogether.

CircleIcons Prefs 2

The cool thing about CircleIcons, which is demonstrated in the video above, is that the icons will update dynamically when switching between the circle icons and the default icons; no resprings are required. You’ll only need to respring when using the switch that completely disables icons, and you won’t even need to respring when enabling the icons again.

CircleIcon Prefs

CircleIcons is a fun tweak that’s free on Cydia’s BigBoss repo. I really like the look of having circular icons in iOS’ Settings, and I think you may as well. What do you think?

What version of iOS are you running and on what device?

      Is that boy your son?

      • Vvbreaker

        Yeah, he is 🙂

  • Victor Molina

    Goes great with aeternum

  • Ali

Excellent idea! I hope this functionality can be extended to all the springboard icons (similar to what Masks did – but it is not being updated).

  • Chris

    Looks very nice with Ayeris.

May I know the Bytafont theme please (Is it the Apple font?). Thanks.

      • Chris

It’s Open Sans Light, for some reason taking screenshots makes it slightly thinner.

  • Jesse

    Usefulness, none.

    • BoardDWorld

Fitting for those who have a round icon theme or Aeternum. I personally was glad to find it pop up this morning.

      • Jesse

Oh I didn’t realize those tweaks didn’t round the icon by default – I’m not really a theme person.

  • Jeroen Claassens

It gives the settings app a really nice look imo. Installed it myself as soon as I saw it pop up on cydia.

  • Shady

it doesn’t work on any devices below 5s. only 5s and higher in other words A7+
just received a mail from the developer and he said he is gonna update it
if you try to install it on any device below A7+ you will get this error when you try to open it from settings
“There was an error loading the preference bundle for circleicons”

    Jeff Please update the post

Is there any tweak which makes the same round icons avaliable on the homescreen ? Possibly without winterboard ?

    • jaysoncopes

Plenty of themes do this to the home screen. Just look around on Cydia or Reddit.

      • Sheeezy

Your answer is useless, I know exactly as much as before.

    • Vvbreaker

I don’t know if this helps , but Apple Watch UI tweaks such as WatchBoard, SphereView and Aeternum all have round icons on the home screen.

      • Sheeezy

        Exactly !
That’s why I asked if there is a tweak which lets me do it without WinterBoard.

  • jaysoncopes

Beautiful tweak. Looks native to iOS.

CircleIcons was updated this evening with support for older devices. Go crazy, all you pre-iPhone5S Evad3rs!

Remove all icons is now broken, doesn’t work.
