Mophie Juice Pack for iPhone 6 image 005

Renowned accessory maker Mophie is out of the gate with the first ‘Made for iPhone’ licensed battery cases for Apple’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

Their new Juice Pack protective battery cases promise to boost the run time of your iPhone 6 by 120 percent, or up to sixty percent in the case of the larger iPhone 6 Plus which already packs a notably stronger battery than its 4.7-inch sibling.

The California-based company said the new cases for Apple’s last handsets are now available for pre-order.

Juice Packs incorporate edge-to-edge protection, rubberized support points on the inside to protect the handset from drops and falls, quick-charge and pass-through technology to charge and sync the phone simultaneously at a rapid rate, as well as forward-ported speakers.

When connected to a computer, your iPhone 6 recharges first, and then the Juice Pack case recharges itself.

As an added bonus, the integrated standby switch lets you choose when to charge or save some juice for when you need it most and of course there’s the LED power indicator to indicate the battery levels and charge status.

Depending on the model, these new cases provide up to 17 more hours of talk time, up to 12 more hours of web browsing, up to 13 more hours of video playback and up to 60 more hours of music playback, said Mophie.

Each Juice Pack ships with a micro-USB cable for charging and a headphone jack extender. Appropriate docks and clips will be announced at a later stage.

An updated version of its predecessor, the $99.95 Juice Pack Air for iPhone 6 features a built-in 2750mAh battery for up to a 100 percent longer run time.

The $119.95 Juice Pack Plus for iPhone 6 features a stronger 3300mAh battery for a 120 percent longer run time, in exchange for a slightly bulkier appearance compared to the Juice Pack Air.

Lastly, the $99.95 Juice Pack for iPhone 6 Plus includes a 2600mAh battery, enough to boost the phone’s already strong battery by as much as an additional 60 percent.

Color-matched to fit your Space Gray, Gold or Silver device, the new Juice Packs are available in Black, White and Gold finishes and can be pre-ordered now through the Mophie webstore, with 3-4 weeks shipping.

The juice pack plus should be the name for the iPhone 6 Plus model, makes a lot more sense

  • Onaje RnbCelebrity

Can’t wait to use that bestbuy discount lol

    • Chris Gilmore

      What do you mean?

      • Onaje RnbCelebrity

        I work for best buy

The China models or “aftermarket” battery packs have more mAh and cost 3x less. Have one for i5 and 5s. Probably going to get one for the 6 also. The quality isn’t as cheap as expected either

The Chinese ones I’ve ordered (done it about 4 times now, between the iPhone 4S to my 5S) have all crapped out in one way or another, after 3-4 months. I found mophie to be really reliable and when I had one stop charging, I emailed them, sent them a receipt and it was replaced in 2 days.

I’m pretty obsessed with battery cases, but I can’t see myself putting one of these on my 6+. It’s already a huge phone and I don’t think adding more bulk is for me. I’d do it on a 6 though.

I’m using it right now. 4200 mAh for $20. I will admit I got one that didn’t last long enough, but I did figure out which ones are the better quality and which ones are not. Mophie is a great brand, but The battery life on them just doesn’t cut it for me.

Any brands u trust? I avoid the chinese cases cause i feel like it will break as soon as i open the packaging.

  • Chris Gilmore

hey guys, need some advice. I’m purchasing a battery case for the first time ever. I’ve been waiting for this for my naked iPhone 6. However, the Incipio battery case has more battery for about $20 less. Should I go for the Mophie or Incipio? I appreciate your opinions.

    • Rupinder

Have you tried a portable charger? I find them to be way more useful. A lot more battery life for the money you pay, your phone won’t be 3 times its original size, and I think they generally last longer. Lumsing is my brand of choice.

      • diggitydang

AND, you can use it on the next gen phone, or if you have a tablet or other device that needs charging… But something about the battery being ON your phone that seems to make it convenient to remember to bring along!!

I have no affiliation with this company but I have had battery cases from Ibattz. The good thing about these things are that it has a removable battery. You always have a battery ready to switch in/out. Same price as Mophie.

  • Jamessmooth

This is tough for me. I’ve owned just about every juice pack the company has come out with for iPhones, and I’ve had an issue with EVERY SINGLE ONE. When they work properly, they’re amazing… Perfect for a vacation, or just keeping in a bag wherever you go. Wish there was another company with a respectable Name I could check out.

  • 9to5Slavery

They should make a slim profile one. The bottom drags too long and makes it ugly

  • Jordan Lewis

How & Why does the battery in the iPhone 6 Plus case have less mAh than the iPhone 6 one?

  • L J

I really would like a juice pack but damn I i wish it didn’t add such bulk. Im in love with the thinness of the iphone6 it’s to hard to give up.

    • Great Scott

Just get an external battery pack that’s way cheaper and holds a lot more charge. And keep the case you have now.

  • Great Scott

Lol $100 bucks for near 3000 mAh? I would highly suggest just getting an external battery pack which sells for 30 bucks for 16000 mAh and a smaller, less intrusive case.

  • James Grenard

3300mah isn’t worth it. So many options (just as good) with 4700+ and cheaper

  • Melma

I rather use the battery from my BM..
