Mail OS X Yosemite

Apple has seeded the second beta of OS X 10.10.1 Yosemite this evening. The update, labeled build 14B23, is available through the Update tab in the Mac App Store and the Mac Dev Center for all registered developers.

Today’s release comes just one week after the first beta, and nearly a month after 10.10 went public. It’s not clear what changes it includes yet, but Apple has asked devs to focus on Wi-Fi, Mail and Notification center.

We didn’t see any major changes in the first beta of OS X 10.10.1, and given how close the build numbers are, we aren’t expecting any in today’s release. It’s likely Apple is focusing on bug fixes and other improvements.

Nevertheless, we’re currently installing the beta and will update this post if we find any significant changes or additions. If you come across something not mentioned here, feel free to e-mail us at tips@idownloadblog.com.

I cannot wait for this to release to the public. I have graphical glitches (weird distortions on web pages), I highly dislike using translucency and when I disable it the volume popup has black corners, and the OS stutters every now and then. In my PERSONAL USE it is the least stable fresh release I’ve had with Apple.

Still Yosemite is a great OS, I just wish this would be coming sooner.

Everyone is different, I guess. I’m using a MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2010)

I’m just surprised I have issues with the public beta it had.

Im using a Macbook Pro Retina Early 2013, probably explains it.

It is technically public. I get it on the public beta stream.

I meant a final release, lol. Not beta. But you’re right it is public.

if anyone was experiencing chipmunk like voices using Facetime Audio on an old mac with 10.10 (2011 mac mini for me), 10.10.1 beta version 1 solved this. I couldn’t tell you how extremely annoying that was…..

Does it solve that when you’re using windows in bootcamp and you want to switch back to Yosemite, it doesn’t find the mac volume? I find it annoying cos you need to restart your mac and hold ALT key and switch manually.
