apple event

Folks who missed Apple’s keynote this morning, or would just like to watch it in its entirety, will be happy to hear that Apple has just posted the full video online for your streaming pleasure. Obviously, you can read everything you need to know about today’s event right here on iDB, but if you have the time, the video is worth watching.

The event doesn’t appear to be available on YouTube yet, so we can’t embed it here, but we will be sure to do so once it gets posted. For those who would like to watch the clip now, however, you can find it on Apple’s website by clicking here. Just make sure you have QuickTime installed, or a similar media player that supports QT files.

Apple today announced a number of new products, including a slimmer, more powerful iPad Air 2, slightly refreshed iPad mini, a new Mac mini, and a beautiful new iMac with 5K Retina display. Admittedly, parts of the keynote were a bit cheesy, and there weren’t any major surprises, but overall the event went off without a hitch.

Nothing about the event is worth re-watching though.

      It’s road trip!

So I guess the iPod touch is dead, isn’t it?

    • iPhone Gruru

I guess the Apple TV is dead also

And so is the MacBook Air and any other product not mentioned today.

If they are still selling iPod Touches, it ain’t dead yet.

I can not be more dessapointed about this company. I has been an Apple fan (a loyal fan, iSheep, etc) for more than 5 years. After the dead of Steve this company has been going the wrong way . . . There is no innovation ( no, the Apple watch, is not an innovation, according for my standards that this company has archive through the years ) . . . I hope that next year is a little bit more excited , I don’t even enjoyed watching the Apple events anymore, is has been the same the past 2 years. I love Apple, don’t get me wrong, its just that is has been the same things over and over. . . #apple #SteveComeBack

What kind of innovation are you looking for, exactly?

Do you not see innovation in things like Continuity & Handoff? I think those are pretty amazing and way beyond what’s happening on competing platforms.

Something that stands Apple clearly apart from other rival products.Sapphire glass on iPhone would have been a step in the right direction.

Continuity & Handoff does separate Apple from the competition. As does sending SMS from any device (not just requiring users to use something like Hangouts which requires others to have Google accounts).

An Apple SIM is also innovative & an invention. A single SIM for multiple carriers enabling you to seamlessly switch between carriers when sometimes carriers actually charge you for a new SIM.

A tablet that’s 6.1mm thin. That’s freaking incredible! Find me a thinner tablet that is as powerful.

Sapphire glass was proven to be more prone to shattering than the Gorilla Glass used on iPhones today. It may be more scratch resistant, but if it shattered more easily then it wouldn’t really be worth it after a few accidental slips in your hand.

My carrier actually charged me for cutting down my old SIM.
