I think you guys are missing the point.

The end result is the consumers, that’s why Net Neutrality is such a touchy topic. Corporation is all for profit which is capitalism at it’s finest. The idea of fast lines is giving AT&T or Verizon the ability to set up a deal with any streaming service to have their customers receive higher data speeds.

And with that given deal set in place for any streaming service, AT&T or Verizon will undoubtedly be double dipping.. collecting from both consumer & streaming service. And given that the streaming service will be paying AT&T or Verizon, the streaming service will eventually have to raise their prices while charging the consumers more.

Basically, the end result hurts the consumers.

On the net neutrality topic my personal opinion is that the reason it’s so important is because of the little guy. Spotify can strike deals with carriers but the little guy cannot. How is this in any way, shape, or form fair? The whole point of net neutrality is that without it, it stifles innovation and prevents anything new from starting up. Without net neutrality the Internet startup space will be dead overnight. It will be literally impossible to secure the capital necessary to compete with the big companies even if your product is great. Everything will be a monopoly which your ISP or mobile phone network gets paid twice from both you as a user and the company (e.g Spotify or Netflix) which will be forced to pay the ISP for faster access rather than throttled access.

A little bit of topic but Cydia was updated to fully IOS 7 but there is one only thing that they had forgotten that its still has the Skeuomorphism and is the button of “Return to Cydia or Restart Springboard” after you download something, just saying! If Saudik is reading IDownloadBlog please make it IOS 7ish!!

Sebastien, that snail joke is from the movie Training Day. Not sure if that’s where it’s originally from but Roger tells that joke to Jake. I love this movie.
