If you are looking for a new batch of iPhone and iPad games to play this weekend, you are in luck. Thursday has been another action-packed day of game releases on the App Store, and we’ve covered the most important ones in this column. Bubble FIshBubble Fish Party is described as a family party brawler game in which four players take control of wacky blowfish and try to pierce their opponents to collect points. The game features a hardcore mode, two unusual power-ups, localized multiplayer support, unique gameplay and more. Bubble Fish Party will set you back $1.99 on the App Store for iPhone and iPad.

HometownHometown Story Pocket has been out for about a week, but the iOS port of the popular 3DS hit is worth mentioning. The game tasks you with running your own shop, keeping customers satisfied and meeting your daily sales goals. Customize the look of your shop, interact with characters and more in Hometown Story Pocket, free on the App Store for iPhone.

PlunderNautsBackflip Studios has released PlunderNauts, bringing epic space battles to your palm of your hand. The unique combat gameplay in PlunderNauts is addictive, fast and fun, because everyone loves pulverizing pirates with a fully customizable starship. Search for Ironbeard’s Treasure in PlunderNauts, a free game on the App Store for iPhone and iPad.

Ready Steady PlayReady Steady Play is a new Wild West-themed game with an affable cowboy and his trusted hobby horse. The game is the successor of Ready Steady Bang, and has the same minimalistic design to it. Ride your horse through the desert, complete hobby hurdles and more as you aim for the highest score possible in Ready Steady Play. $1.99 for iPhone and iPad.

Star Wars MakerDisney has released Star Wars Scene Maker for iPad, allowing you to create your own Star Wars universe and bring it to life right on your tablet. Select from 3D environments and models of your favorite Star Wars characters, weapons and ships, use dialogue directly from the films and more. Star Wars Scene Maker is free on the App Store for iPad.

Dungeon GemsJoin players from around the world in the quest to defeat the dragons in Dungeon Gems, a new fast-paced puzzle game by award-winning developer Gameloft. The gameplay consists of dragging your finger over elemental runes to link them and trigger your hero’s attacks, with 220 powerful warriors awaiting your summons. Dungeon Gems is free on the App Store for iPad.

Updated Apps

Subway SurfersYesterday we told you about Clumsy Ninja’s soccer-themed update, and now Subway Surfers has received its own World Cup-inspired update. You can now follow the Subway Surfers World Tour to Sao Paulo, join the weekly Top Run race, add the Brazilian soccer kid Edison to your Surfer crew and more. Subway Surfers is free for iPhone and iPad.

Cut the Rope 2In addition to releasing Are You A Dodo? on the App Store, Chillingo has also updated Cut the Rope 2 with its first new content pack. Om Nom has discovered the fruit market on his unexpected adventure, and it’s your job to help him and his new friend Snailbrow solve tricky new missions. Cut the Rope 2 is $2.99 on the App Store for iPhone and iPad.

Disney KaraokeDisney also didn’t stop at releasing Star Wars Scene Maker, going one step further and updating Disney Karaoke: Frozen with universal support for the iPad. So if you have the tablet, you can now enjoy your favorite music and film clips from the Frozen movie on the larger screen. Disney Karaoke: Frozen is $7.99 on the App Store for iPhone and iPad.

On Sale Apps

MonopolyAfter thousands of fans from 185 different countries voted for a new Monopoly piece, the Cat is now available to play in the latest update to the classic board game app. To celebrate, Electronic Arts has discounted the game from $6.99 to 99 cents for a limited time. So get downloading quick while MONOPOLY for iPad is 99 cents on the App Store for iPad.
