Springtomize 3 06

Springtomize 3 is now available for download on Cydia’s BigBoss repo, and I’ll just get it out of the way and state that I highly recommend it. For those of you unfamiliar with this legendary tweak, Springtomize is basically a way to customize multiple facets of iOS using a single tweak. It’s like dozens of tweaks combined into one, and for that reason, many people love Springtomize.

The third iteration of Springtomize is definitely a more evolutionary chapter in the tweak’s existence. It’s not the game changing tweak that was Springtomize 2, but it still brings more than enough to the table to warrant a purchase without even thinking about it. This is the type of tweak that belongs in the repertoire of every single jailbreaker out there.

Springtomize 3 was built for iOS 7, and it allows you to customize the Home screen, app switcher, Lock screen, folders, and many more areas of iOS 7. Have a look at our full length in-depth video, which covers every section to be found in Springtomize 3.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Springtomize, it’s a tweak that’s broken up into several different section. Each section pertains to a certain aspect of your device’s UI. Here are the sections included with Springtomize 3:

  • Animations
  • App Slide
  • Control Center
  • Dock
  • Folders
  • Icons
  • Lock Screen
  • Pages
  • Status Bar

Each of these sections contain as few as one, or as many as two dozen different customization toggles, options, text entry fields, etc. This basically means that you can customize your iOS device to look completely different than a stock device.

But Springtomize isn’t just a good tweak to use when you want to make drastic changes to your device; it’s a good tweak to use to make subtle alterations to iOS as well. For example, the animations section allows you to speed up the hallmark iOS 7 animations using a simple slider bar. While there are other tweaks available in Cydia for speeding up animations, Springtomize makes it simple, and combines it with dozens of other useful tweaks.

I want to make sure that I also give a nod to Surenix, who design Springtomize 3’s icons. They fit in well with the rest of iOS 7, and lend Springtomize a fun personality.

Springtomize 3 settings

While much of Springtomize 3 is admittedly the same as in previous versions of the tweak, there are definitely new features to be had here. For example, the new app switcher in iOS 7 gains a section that allows you to remove the app switcher’s icons, and adjust the size of the pages found in the app switcher.

Springtomize 50 percent App Slider

If I had to pick one aggravating attribute of Springtomize 3, it would definitely be the fact that you must respring every time you make a change. I know that Filippo was up against a pressing time table for Springtomize 3, so maybe we’ll get an update in the future that goes a little bit easier on the need for respringing. Fortunately, respringing is quite easy to do by means of the status bar shortcut found inside of the tweak’s preferences.

Resized Springtomize Respring

Some may balk at the evolutionary nature of the tweak, but to be honest, I’m just glad to have Springtomize on iOS 7. The tweak was designed to be the Swiss Army Knife of jailbreak tweaks, and that hasn’t changed with this release.

Springtomize is a free download for those of you who purchase Springtomize 2 within the last two months. All other Springtomize 2 owners can snag Springtomize 3 for $1.99, and new customers can have it for $2.99.

Are you happy to finally have Springtomize on your jailbroken iOS 7 device? If so, share your thoughts and comments down below.

Bigify also let’s you set the rotation of app icons adding a slight angle and when shrinking the app icon the label stays at it’s normal size I’ve noticed the label shrinks to with springtomize (I like smaller app icons)making labels hard to read, badge customiser also does a better job on badges gives you options to position your badge and adjust size which springtomize lacks

I feel this tweak have something to go before it’s fully Springtomize, because this does not support SubtleLock as an example 😉

  • Scott Fine

Just bought it, nothing works!!!! WTF is up???? Wondering if other tweaks are affecting springtomize 3?? Anyone with suggestions, I assume Filippo is doing some fixes.

  • The_maestro

Hi guys. Anyone using infinidock and springtomize 3 on an iPhone 5s? Seems springtomize won’t let me shrink the dock icons.. This happening to anyone else? I should also mention I can’t respring from app and need to use a different method. I have deleted plist files for both sprintomize 3 and infinidock.

  • Pretty poor tweak, should be $1 not 3 -_- and not much difference from older ones, plus have tk rebuy even if you have the older version, screw this.

    • Andrew Roth

If you ask him on Twitter nicely he’s given out a few free updates for people.. just ask nicely and politely, maybe not mentioning what you said in this comment. 🙂

not working on my iphone 5, nothing changed after respring o.O

    • Phan Van Minh

      Me too, nothing changed

  • ARX8

Someone list the dependencies if there are any, please

  • Tony Trenkle Jr.

So I just used it twice and resprang and it rebooted into safe mode twice. I just wasted 2.99

  • Naman Jain

Something that is worth buying 🙂

  • jay

    Yes you can

  • Chris Wagers

To everyone complaining about nothing new in springtomize 3. I’m sure filippo was trying his best to get this out there so people that wanted it on ios 7 could start using it. It takes time to code and then time for alpha then beta testing. Tweaks like this aren’t just created in one night. Give him a break 🙂

Overall. Springtomize 3 does a good job hitting many areas. Was able to remove several individual tweaks. However. It didn’t have some of the options Springtomize 2 had. Hope some of the coming updates have some needed improvements. Springtomize 3 has great potential.

Why do we have to pay to upgrade again? Doesn’t Flippo have enough money now?

    • Kevin Gregory Kennedy

He said on twitter you’re paying for an upgrade because the 2$ you spent last time was for 25 additional features as well as 2 years ago.

  • how did he respring that fast??

  • emroda

You can’t re-size springboard icons???? setting only for folder icons…there is stg wrong

  • Neil Gonzalez

what are “foders”? haha just breaking balls. Seriously, good video.

  • J™

    overrated and overpriced

  • 0ʇılouɐɯ

Jeff Benj. sell us the MOST BUGGY tweak ever out in cydia, and I guess he’s sleeping fine! So sad, iDB!!…

  • Arcadus Nance

how’d he get the respring like that??

    • Zachary Sloane

      Springtomize 3 does it…

  • anita❤

I don’t know if it’s just me or not but springtomize 3 is not working for me at all. I make a change and it says to respring so I do and nothing happens. I manually respring and still no changes. Should I delete all my tweaks first or what?

  • Aleandro green

this doesnt hide the clock on the ls?

  • Justin rulton

still very disappointed – after removing as many possible conflicts as I could think of and then upgrading to the latest 1.0.0-3 version it’s still doing exactly the same things as it was before, cramming icons together on the SB, overlapping them on the dock etc etc. Am really hoping for some kind of definitive conflicts list cuz I do (did) enjoy Springtomize

    • Damian W

To play with layouts use iconoclasm, homedesigner, infinidock, more icons, shrink. They are really good. Don’t expect too much from springtomize

      • Justin rulton

thanx, i have some of those & have tried most of the others over the years, always have liked Springtomize though, will have to keep waiting for a fully working update like it used to be I guess

  • Nuno Costa

Why can’t I add any more rows to the folders?
I select 4, 5 or 6…but it can’t seem to pass the default 3 rows… is this only happening to me?

Also in the homescreen, I can select 6 rows, but it doesn’t cover the hole screen, it leaves like a blank row as if I’m in a Smaller iPhone (I have the iPhone 5).

    • Thomas

      Same issue here..

  • Stephy Pal

I have iphone 5s and I installed springtomize 3 today. It’s not working for me. It doesn’t take anatomy effect and Respring. I think it’s maybe cuz I have other tweaks on my phone. Can someone help me and tell me what tweaks is not compatible with springtomize 3. Thanks. 🙂

  • JulianZH

how can you respring that fast?

  • dk

Has anyone else experienced an issue with the badge position after icons have been resized?

    • dk

      example below

  • Robert Goldberg

A ton of stuff to customize, that’s all very good, but just like with all the previous releases of the tweak the execution leaves a lot to be desired in terms of quality and accuracy. Everything is jumpy and buggy, basically ugly. Staying away.

  • Rahul Sinha

M using springtomize 3 on my IPhone 5 n m enjoying…the only problem m facing is that after enabling springtomize all by numeral notifications against mails, messages, calls r gone..

  • Ellyn IsfeelingThelove

It is a lovely tweak. Just used it to add a 5th app to my dock. Thanks!

  • disqusted

Using the new page transition animations in this update causes a bizarre bug where icons all stack on each other in random places. The only way to fix it is to respring. I never saw the issue before this version and it happens very often. The only fix I’ve found is to not use page transition animations. It’s a PITA.
